Is everyone meticulous about cleaning between vapes?

I saw a remark up there about things people do to keep them clean and it hit home...
I clean them when I'm switching flavors or vapor diminishes. Otherwise I just refill.

I started off cleaning my stardusts between each flavor. But now, maybe I'm getting lazy, but I find myself pouring a new juice in even if there's some residue of the old still in the cart. As long as the flavors don't clash, it doesn't seem to matter. What do you guys do?

It may depend on your equipment, too, and how far you can disassemble it. I've had good luck with soaking my little eGo c atomizer heads in alcohol, then rinsing with hot water, but then they are difficult to take apart. One might almost think the designers were actively trying to discourage this. (cough) But it is only now and again I think that level of cleaning is needed; mostly I just rinse under the faucet, and the little plastic tanks just get a rinse, blow, and swab out with a q-tip.

Good thread....I was wondering about the cleaning thing. So far I haven't felt the need....it's only been a week and a half though. hahaha!

In between flavors. But if I'm vaping the same flavor, I just refill a couple times. Works
for me.

Eh, I've been sticking with 1 flavor, so I only clean once a week, maybe sooner if I feel the atty needs it

I have a head that's chililng (I'm saving my heads for rebuilds) That I was getting a burnt taste out of (My fault.. I abused it a bit as it was my first clearo after switching from cartos) should I try and clean it with warm water and give it another try.. or just keep it off to the side until I"m ready to do a head rebulid session?

If the burnt taste is mild, try alcohol or peroxide overnight and or dryburn. If it's strong the wick is done, rebuild.

Never cleaned any cartomizer or stardust type clearomizer in my life. Have had a handful that were duds immediately and that handful found their way to the garbage can immediately. Other then the duds that were never used to need cleaning in the first place, I've never had a cartomizer or clearomizer that lasted less then three weeks and most have lasted far beyond three weeks. If I'm using a juice that has a very strong flavor then it gets its own dedicated carto or clearo, other then that, I have no problem using different flavors each time I refill a carto or clearo.

Update: I believe that my burnt flavor came from the insulating sheath around the head.. I had another one taste burnt.. and after I pulled the charred sheath out.. tasted MUCH better.

I use a standard Ego T. Have a couple of tanks and use them a day or two between cleaning. Atomizers I blow out once or twice a day, and rinse them in hot water after 3-4 day's use.

Bleh, I've had nothing but bad luck cleaning this thing
1st atty: accidentally crushed the tip while burning the wick
2nd atty(LR): popped the coil
3rd atty: I don't even know what happened. Didn't pop it, but when I put it back in for another round of burning it didn't work

I'm just gonna start treating these atty's as disposable...

I dont use a wick and coil long enough to have it go bad. Any time I change flavors in a carto or tank I make a new one. I do soak for an hour in 91% alcohol to get the previous flavor out.

Well I clean out my stardust every time before changing flavors. Regardless of a clash or not. I will however re-fill my stardust with the same flavor two to three times before cleaning it. But never when changing flavors.

i loved the stardusts when i first started vaping, but now that i have a few mini vivis i am enjoying them a lot more.
super easy to take apart, remove head and screw on another, and throw the gunked one in a bit of vodka for a bit before taking out for a dry burn.

Nope..... similar flavors just replace each other. If I'm doing something completely different, I might clean it out first though.

it depends on the liquid flavor. if im switching between fruit, candy, or some beverage e liquids, I dont see a need to clean it. but if I were to switch from fruit to chocolate, then ill have to clean it. I cant imagine vaping watermelon with traces of mocha

I don't clean my heads between each refill, usually only do it when the draw is bad or the liquid is looking like syrup. When I do, just hot water and a pat dry, fill n fire.

I had a Kanger head tasting burnt on and off. Cleaned up the head and had no more troubles... I wash when changing flavors or diminished vapor. Finally I had to give in to the fact that dry burning is a must, otherwise vapor diminishes a lot!
