I only vape unflavored liquid. I have 3 Kayfuns, 1 subtank, 2 ego one tanks, and several smaller ego size tanks. I'm also a toodle puffer. I can get 50-60+ mil of my unflavored through the tanks before I even consider rewicking. I can't even remember the last time I had to actually build a new coil. So how you vape and what flavor you use probably has a lot to do with how often you have to do maintenance.

Just currious when your tank goes empty do you guys do you notice a loss in flavor just topping off? Rewicking every night gets a bit old but do you sacrifice taste or clean and rewick each tank? I never seem to make it more than 2 days before tearing it down to rewick. I also notice a difference in taste if I dont dump and clean the tank. Even if not changing flavor. Anyone else notice that or is it in my head?
I rewick every 2 tanks, so about every 6 or 7ml of juice unless of course if there is some foul taste. I do notice that usually by about the 7ml of liquid I've either starting to get a different taste, or the taste has greatly reduced.

At the price of cotton, I should just rewick every tank because honestly although it's acceptable, it never tastes like it does on the first hit to me, when the wick has been totally saturated and fresh without any gunk yet on the wick. I think I don't just because I'm too darn lazy to do it on every fill up.

I rarely have needed (so far in the 2 to 3 months that I've been using the Subtank) even need to replace the coil itself. I just burn them up at 50w and submerge the coil in a glass of water to get rid of the black gunk. It's only when I look through my desktop magnifying glass if I see a bunch of black gunk that hasn't come off in either dry burning or dowsing it that I roll up a new coil. As long as I can get it clean with a dry burn, I don't see the point in replacing it even if it is only a few cents of kanthal.

I was looking at one of those. I take it they work ok?

It works fine. I picked one up off of slowtech, took about 3 or 4 weeks to arrive but it was only about $5 when I got it. The thing I've found is that you need to put a bit of VG on it before inserting it or the dry rod can pull the o-ring out of its place in the cap and then you get juice everywhere. The VG allows it to slide past the ring.
