i love fasttechs prices but have read nothing but horror stories about shipping.

so a few questions follow:

1. Is it worth the frustration of the shipping problems?
2. if so what's the most reliable/fastest shipping option?
3. are there and other wholesalers who can compete with FT's prices that i won't have to wait a month and a half to receive my orders from?

I like fasttech prices but only for stuff I need and that costs quite a bit more to buy in the UK that's the draw with fasttech obviously if you need it quick they are no good. It's like everything you have to cut through quite a bit of rubbish to find the decent stuff with fasttech and you will wait for anything you order from China unless you pay increased amounts for faster shipping which dents the price advantage. Their shipping isn't so much a nightmare as lengthy I always allow six weeks from ordering to receiving but a lot of people order and expect it within a couple of weeks when that doesn't happen they go on the net and shout loudly.

That's not to say some people haven't had problems but it's not the norm also a lot of people order kits with battery's which will increase delays given how cautious the whole battery shipping thing has become. If your ordering things you don't need quick and are realistic in your expectations fasttech are fine and can save you a lot.

rounding third and heading home...
if you like the prices and don't mind the wait then the answer is YES. i have never had a problem with fasttech except for some long shipping times. not being in hurry for anything, they are great for ordering, forgetting about it, and then getting some vape mail surprise down the road. love getting vape mail when you don't expect it. fasttech is great for that......

Nothing wrong with FT (or places like focalecig) if you dont mind waiting a couple weeks, It's not like it takes 6 months. the shipping can be slow but this a fualt of Chinas shipping policies and not fasttech. Just keep in ming If you MUST have it now then thats not the place to order, if you dont mind a delay it's really not that bad.

In a few cases places like 101 or coast2coast may carry what you are looking for stateside for a little more.

Chinese new year will start soon so anything ordered now MAY end up delayed even longer.

Depends on the price and how fast you need it. If in no rush, order and wait. Word of warning, they are going on holiday the 25th, so if not shipped by then it will add 2 weeks more to the delivery time, so check stock levels if you order.

2. if so what's the most reliable/fastest shipping option?
I have gone back to HKP as I normally get in 2 weeks. Tried ePacket that others said was fast, not so much for me, normally 3+ weeks. If batteries, like EGO, I use Singapore Post, which is 3+ weeks. This is one you will get lots of answers on, but expect a month and you should be fine. My longest was 49 days, but that was when the shipping problems started in September, all others, 14 or so, have been less than a month.

3. are there and other wholesalers who can compete with FT's prices that i won't have to wait a month and a half to receive my orders from?
I have gotten some stuff stateside that was just a little more, but not much. Best bet is to look for what you want from FT stateside, then decide if the price difference is worth the wait, some are some aren't.

Hope this helps.

Can't beat the prices, but sometimes equipment and shipping/inventory can be shoddy. My nem clone came with a dented locking ring. My kraken took over a month to arrive.

That said, I ordered an Aqua clone on the 6th, and after a 5 day restocking fiasco, it was finally shipped (China post epacket) on the 14th, and arrived in the US yesterday. It should arrive by Wednesday. So, a little over 2 weeks from order to my door isn't bad at all, IMO. For FastTech, that is. Although, who knows what will happen next time...

Is it worth it? Sure. It also tests your patience, which, in this world of consumerism and instant gratification, is probably a good thing. ;-)

I just tried dhgate, and will see how the shipping is. Look up items sold by jufrentech. He's located in China, but my item was shipped out in 2 days. My last order from Fasttech came in about 45 days, stuck in customs. There are many items being sold individually, instead of ordering minimums. The best alternatives I've found are local online shops that carry clones, or ebay.

Hopefully your Aqua doesn't get stuck like mine. It is still showing in Chicago, where it has been since the AM of the 16th.

I've had great luck, and CS, with FT, but places like 101 are starting to get really competitive on pricing but with less to choose from (because they actually have their listings in stock).

Actually it's been discussed there ad infinitum ad nauseum. The thing with shipping is that it is so individual, given your location, Customs, etc., that it is really not worth it to try to deduce a general rule. People with 'normal' shipping times (whatever 'normal' is) don't usually post about them. What am I going to post, that my 27th package arrived within the 11 to 16 day time frame I am accustomed to, via SGP??? Who on earth would want to know, given that I live in the Middle East??? What good would that do anybody? I will admit that people's endless tracking complaints drive me into snarky hissy fits.

But what does help others are our reports of what we've got...gloat, gloat, showing off...I have got so many good ideas from other people's purchases. :) :)

Someone has been hibernating. The Fasttech thread has been a non stop buzz about shipping.

Now, I'll post the same thing here as I posted there.

FASTTECH is not a SHIPPING Company.
Once your order is filled<next day or 10 days after ordering if waiting on fulfillment> it is handed off to the various shipping services. THEY are the PROBLEM, not Fasttech or any of the other China Companies attempting succeed in their business.

The Delays, returns, rejected Packages are ALL from Policy changes in CHINA CUSTOMS SERVICES, not postal carriers, not freight carriers, not FASTTECH, VaporBreak, ZAINY, ChinaBUYE, Kanger or any of the tens of thousands of other business effected.

If you lived in China, likely your packages would arrive in 2-5 days. Much like anything mailed in most civilized Nations.
Shipping to another country takes on a whole different set of rules/regulations and political problems.

I am actually amazed people have become so absorbed in self satisfaction they cannot see, understand or accept reality.

By the way, the Garden tiller I ordered{ IN STOCK} from Home Depot on line only took 5 weeks to arrive.

Life happens :2cool:

The short answer is, if you're willing to wait, totally worth it.

Long answer, in my opinion, if there is something that you absolutely have to have, buy it locally. My B&M charges almost triple what Fasttech does but I know that I'm getting tried and true product and service after the sale.

If you're willing to wait a month for a new battery because it'll save you 3 bucks, then use Fasttech. It doesn't matter what you order from China, it all has to go through customs. Some things spend a little time, some things spend a lot of time there. The last package I received from a Chinese distributor took 15 days and spent 5 of them in customs but, it wasn't something I needed.

If I NEED supplies like wire or batteries, I try to buy locally or at least stateside. If I can live for a few days, I'll order online from a US provider.

Just keep in mind that no matter what you do, including any overnight shipping option, it will sit in customs. And if you don't overnight, it'll take at the very least, two weeks.
