Is G plat wire worth all the hype

I was just witching videos on youtube about gplat wire it had some good reviews but then i started looking around seeing some thing about it being welding wire was just wondering is it really so much better than kanthal...i was thinking about getting some g plat 26 guage 316L

Just my opinion. I tried it, it worked well. But after I was done with what I bought, I went back to A1 kanthal. The g plat was a little softer and easier to coil, but performance was about the same. It wasn't worth the extra cost for me.

Generally sceptical about this kind of hyped products. Browse around the generic wire suppliers (alibaba etc) and you prob find the same stuff without the fancy wrapping for a fraction of the price. Might be you need to buy 100kg as a minimum though
But hey, if you have some money burning in your pockets, give it a go. You might like it.

It's safe to vape on, but if you can get Kanthal cheaper you might as well as it's designed pretty much perfectly for vaping purposes. I use it and stand by it.

According to the e-mail I posted, 316 and 317L are nearly identical, but 317L is slightly more corrosion resistant (making it a better candidate for vaping).

Gplat is 317L. 316L has less corrosion resistance.

Like Nichrome, I don't like the taste It throws off with my builds and juice.

I've got a welding shop be glad to sell you a bunch of welding wire for double what it costs. Being special purpose and all, that's worth a good markup.

We been through these ** cough** special wires for years.

The first big attempt was bakarro wire, within a few months temco had miles of kanthol ribbon ready for sale.

To think a couple doinks from a vape shop actually wipped up a new alloy blend, and then contracted a foundry to make it BUT still have to go to work everyday selling egos should tell you all you need to know.

I actually went to the vape shop and talked to one the guys there I know pretty well and trust he actually talked me out of getting it lol he said it just burns hotter and it would dilute the flavor not improve it i was looking for improved flavor.....Hi tech vapor here in phoenix actually has a pretty good deal for 100ft spools of a1 kanthal

Right? Same goes for the inventors of MXJO/VAPPOWER batteries.. So you're telling me that you hopped into the battery game and, in less than a year, managed to manufacture a battery with specs that Samsung/LG/Sony have been struggling to make for years?
