i bought 20 ft of the blue elite. used more wire than kanthal to get in the lowest range i use (about .4 ohms) . i did notice an improvement in flavor VS kanthal and my coils lit up a little faster. i gave away 1 ft sections to some friends to try, ran out and returned to the kanthal. i guess my tastes in wire don't run to the high end... small gain to me and my style.

only the makers of GPlat know whats in the wire... and theyre not saying....

Yeah... I guess it Wouldn't be too smart to say what the Alloy was if it turned out to be Something that People could buy for 14 cents per foot on their own.

;)

I'm sure someone will eventually figure it out.

In their defense, there are some types of resistance wire that can get a little pricey ($1/foot range from some of the industrial wire suppliers on line) so it will be interesting to see what it really is.

And more interesting to see how long it takes Temco to get it in stock and listed on their website!!
