Is it common to get sick of a flavor you were in love with originally?

When I started I was really really digging RY4, but now I really can't stand it, even after trying another brand. I have tried about 40 different flavors now, and about 10 I like. I started really digging Green Van from MEL and still like it a lot and am now in love with Banana Nut Bread, anxiously awaiting my 30ml bottle to arrive. I did not like Boba's bounty until I got a variable voltage (ego twist), now I like it a lot. I am just shocked that RY4 does nothing for me anymore.

I had two flavors that I could consider an all day vape. One of them, Copper Creek's House Blend. Not long after I purchased 120ml of this flavor, I found that I could no longer stand it. It sat for months untouched. I finally found a friend here on ECF who was willing to make a trade for it by offering a gift certificate to my favorite e-liquid vendor, so a double win there.

As our tastes buds heal from years of smoking, our flavor palate can change. Something to think about when ordering large quantities of one flavor.

Yup. Tastes change as our taste buds heal and we get away from traditional cigarettes. Also, preferences change because we are human. I still enjoy most of the flavors I enjoyed when I first started, but there are a few that I have fallen out of love with. I have also begun to enjoy flavors that I used to find bland and unsatisfying.

Very common. My sense of taste changed rapidly during the first months after I quit smoking and so did my favorite flavors. Eventually I developed a taste for unflavored. Now, the taste of a top quality nicotine base is all the flavor I want.

This is very close to my experience. I love the unflavored, and probably vape it 50% of the time or more, but still enjoy flavors sometimes.

Definitely. I started off with tobacco flavors and now I can't stand them.

I experienced the same thing. Initially I was on a quest to find a tobacco flavor that could mimic my cigs but all of them tasted awful to me. Instead, I turned to fruity flavors, mostly blends.

Today, I use unflavored the majority of the time.

I remember a couple years ago I was hooked on tastyvapor's waffle juice. It was all I vaped for months. Then one day, right in the middle of a bottle, right in the middle of a carto tank ... I didn't like it any more  The same thing happened with a vanilla cookie mix... for months it was my favorite and then all of a sudden it wasn't. There was also a caramel tobacco in there too. Now I've been vaping a peanutbutter/bavarian cream mix for a few months.. so far so good.. I sure hope it doesn't happen with it cause I love it.

I think it may have something to do with I was using cartos in tanks and the coils would gunk up. Now I change my wick and clean my coil daily so everything is always fresh. Until rebuildables came into the picture, I didn't have this option quite so easily.

I think it is pretty common. Funny though how when we smoked analogs it was the same flavor day in day out but now we find the need to change it up. For me I was never into the flavor of my analogs just the nic, as a matter of fact I hated the way analogs tasted but I did what I did to have my nic and I just like the "act" of smoking, it calms me. Now I am so into different flavors and have quite a collection of the ones I love and the ones I don't like but won't throw out because who knows, as my tastes change I may like one of them.

RY4 was my first flavor love. I bought a few bottles and got through the first two and now don't touch it. Maybe I will return to it. I have also purchased flavors that tasted good in the store but made me grossed out after vaping the for a few minutes (Pina Colada and now pretty much any berry flavor). I still love my Cafe Mocha and German Chocolate Cake and, of course, mother's Milk and Queenside (the most expensive ones...figures!).
