Reading Dusty's post... now that is what a "community" is all about!

Reading this thread makes me think I need to open my wallet a little further to have some back ups, I know people have already mentioned having backups, but this thread made it hit home a little harder.

Once you get your back ups, let some time go by, and then get them some back ups!! I've had it where i've burnt out two batteries in a day due to a shorted atomizer.. My car, my office, my laptop bag, all have a couple items in them at all times.

If you don't have one, a pass through may be an answer for you in these emergency situations, or some of those SD kits.

I have a 900mah vv ego passthrough.

It's great, I never have to stress out about not having something I can use to vape. No matter what other mods or batteries I get, I will always have a passthrough for emergencies.

I should probably order a backup something for the seemingly impossible mishap with my beloved Provari. Hmmm... maybe another Provari... ahh I'm going to scour the classifieds for the next month for a good backup!

As good as a Provari is, it's still operates through a pcb with components. Anything with electronics can fail. I'd suggest a an ego passthrough or 2 or even a SD Keyring as backup or even for going out.

I would never take my Provari outside the house - the thought of losing it or dropping it would keep me up all night. The one thing I did with the Provari was get an extention cap & a pair of both 18490/18650 batteries. I've read somewhere, where the spring can break off the endcap - so having both endcaps with batteries will carry me over until a replacement gets ordered. Just some food for thought. Hope you find this useful.

I have a total of 6 new PVs coming over the next few days, along with a slew of various odds and sods. That should keep me comatose for a few days anyway. I'll start backing things up when I regain consciousness.

Hey Dusty, were the batteries toast or did they just run out of juice. Asking because I think my Infinity Pro shorted out and if that ruined my batteries as well...

And oh dang, my Volt charger just let me down again!! Time to get back to Smokeless Image.

Oh yeah and the place I'm getting some extra 808 batteries from asap is out of passthroughs.

Ok this is just getting to be too much.

A little more ranting. One place has Boge 510's but not in steel. The next place has the batteries I need but not the passthrough.
The next place I order something from has the drip tips but not the cartos. I think I pay more for shipping half the time.

Don't get me too wrong here, I adore vaping and have been obsessed with it from day one. It's a bit of work eh?

I know a lot of people dont like them, but I use Gotvapes pretty regularly and they have most things in stock except for their newest items (LR stardust...)

I started recommending these to the other Soldiers at work in march who want something inexpensive to start out with, but the passthrough and battery would make a great backup.

I dunno if they ship to canada, but I figure if they have no problems shipping to APO then Canada shouldn't be a problem.

The short fried my Ego batteries. They went from being fully charged to just rapidly blinking when I pressed the firing button. Now this may not necessarily happen with Mod batteries due to either built in protection or collapsing springs. With Mod batteries you are more likely to see venting when they are pushed past their threshold.

Now, as to your current problem. There are a couple of Brick and Mortar stores in and around the GTA that I know of. Somebody opened a store downtown around the Spadina area if I am not mistaken (see if you can find the thread in the Canada forum) and then there's also Happy Vaper who runs a weekend store out of Dr. Fleas. Not sure you can reach that one, but the downtown location (even if expensive) may be better than shipping stuff from multiple places.

That is definitely a terrible string of bad luck, and I feel for you. If it's any consolation though that means that you're a least due for some good karma soon.

I'll also throw my hat in the ring that if you ever need batteries, cartos, or juice, I've got loads of each. (I'm a reviewer, the stuff piles up. ) The backups for my backups have backups growing out of their backups' backups, and I have enough juice to last for the next year -- not even including my DIY supplies. I'm in Brampton though so it may be a little bit of a jaunt depending on where you are.
