I was enjoying vaping, then all of a sudden 2 nights ago every juice I have tasted so bad I was almost dry heaving. I thought maybe the atty was toast, so I switched the atty, samething, then I changed the juice, no better, then changed the juice and atty yet again and the taste was so nauseating. When I inhale my throat burn and feels like I am inhaling the strongest cuban cigar ever. I am vaping 18mg which I enjoyed and never had issues with over the past 4 weeks.

I have no idea why all of a sudden out of the blue vaping tastes awful and burns my throat. I am thinking maybe I am sick and my taste is off but I dont feel sick. Then I thought maybe its just one of those things when you have an off couple days. I dont know but I really want an analog, and when I vap to get rid of that I almost dry heave from the awful taste. I am vaping do more, marlie, and canadian. They all taste disgusting all of a sudden. I hope and pray its only a cold even though I dont feel sick. I need a supplier that sells 2ml samples of everything so I dont have to spend my life savings finding my taste lol. I seem to be having quite a few issues vaping. What can I do to make my experience better?

Are your juices all-PG? Or even mostly-PG? Your experience definitely sounds unusual, but the only thing I can think of is you may be having a blagh reaction to PG.

As to 2mL samples...that's what DIY is there for! Take the plunge, my friend...you won't regret it. Hope you feel better soon & get your vaping sorted out.

nothing has changed. Its JC Wood. just woke up, went for my morning vape and I almost threw up from the taste. Its not the juice, my wife says it tastes just fine. its not the atty she tried them too. I guess I need to have something around for when this happens. I cant afford to buy 10 different flavours. I'm sorry if it seems like im complaining alot I just dont want to go back to analogs and will do anything not to.

nah... your not alone !

It happens to me every few weeks or so, even less in the "very" beginning. After a while you'll end up having a back-storage of different juices to change to when the moments hit. It's also why I like to DIY because faving all those different flavours around I can either tweek one or start from scratch.

It's funny tho.... a few weeks break of that suddenly harsh unsatisfying vape will end up being even better tasting down the road when I go back to it.

There have been "some" that I just couldnt' go back to for whatever reason (too harsh, or too mehh), but I'll usually take those and use them as "top ups" to other juices I'm getting bored with or running out of to stretch them out.

Hang in there.... I find if I let it really start getting to me, that is when I crave a cigarette the most...... frustration........ but if you can keep calm and just carry on through, things tend to mellow out again.

If it gets too crazy, just go stand near a doorway until a smoker walks in after rushing a smoke..... that's enough of such a foul smell to make me NOT smoke.

Greg

Whoa...hold on there, Ian. :p Your problem does not mean that vaping isn't for you. The source of your problem is all-PG juices.

While an honest-to-goodness PG allergy is fairly uncommon, developing a sensitivity to it is more common. Especially when you're using all-PG juices. You should have some VG in your juices, no matter what the case; even a small amount of VG adds considerably to vapour production, and it adds a smoothing balance to the PG. Only your own experimentation will let you know how much VG you need for your vaping comfort (a little, a lot, or all). All-VG will work your atty harder, because it's thicker...and VG doesn't carry flavour as well as PG does, for the same reason. Too much VG can dampen throat hit too.

I like vapour production, lol. So my juices have 20 to 25% VG. I also like experimenting with flavours...trying new ones, combining them, fiddling with nic levels, proportions, the works. So I DIY.

I'd be happy to send you some PM's showing you how simple DIY is. Not only is it dirt simple (just counting drops & stirring, using an e-juice calculator as your guide), but it will save you lots of money. You'll also end up with tastier juices that vape better...tuned to your specific desires.

In the meantime, check out Evapers - they have lots of juices in VG & PG (which means you can have all one way, or all the other, or mix them together accordingly for your own PG/VG proportions). They also have flavourless with nic, for DIY.

Let me know about the PM's, ok? We'll help you get through this.

I only have those 3 juices right now, and they all taste like blahhh. I wish someone sold 2ml sample bottles so I can pick up 10 of them and mix and match. I tired brushing my teeth thinking maybe it was something I ate, but nada. Tried vaping again just now and omg yuck. I guess your tastes can change faster then a womans mind huh lol. I will try to remain calm, search the classified for someone who has some leftovers I can buy cheap. How come we never had this problem with analogs?

No worries hon. I'll send those PM's. It sounds to me though like you're having a particularly sensitive reaction to the PG. I'd recommend getting a bottle of all-VG juice from Evapers...if you order it now it should be at your door Wednesday morning. You want to move it on that, too...Rob is taking a vacation starting Wednesday through to April 5th.

At least that way you'll know. I don't envy anyone who has to stick to all-VG juices, but it sure as hell beats smoking. Hopefully you'll still be able to use some PG...we'll see. In any event, you'll get through this!

Also, I have no doubt that someone here in Toronto will be able to provide you with some emergency VG juice to tide you over. I would myself, except I only have plain VG at the moment...so it would be no-nic (& that would suck). Jack?? bornagainst?? Toronto vaper in distress!

thanks Rachel. I am suprised that I would have a reaction to pg after 4 weeks. Weird, I willbe ordering but in the mean time I have no other juices. This is a test of my will power lol.

Agreed, I get the blahs sometimes too. Nothing just tastes right, but at least it doesn't make your taste and smell go away like analogs do. After you don't smoke for a while and taste gigs, they are horrible, but smoke long enough and they taste just fine. I think it may be because you can't taste anything anymore. :)
With vaping, no worries. Your taste will come back.

This happened to me when I was a bit sick a few weeks back. I thought it was the juice and even let the vendor know how bad it was (I've apologized since, just so happens it was JC dumay). I also thought it was the atties and contacted the vendor who sent me a new one since they were brand new.

After a few days everything was back to normal. Maybe it was a reaction to one of the juices, but it hasn't happened since. I'd recommend waiting a couple days before making any final conclusions.

Go to the nearest pharmacy and get a bottle of glycerin. I had to do that as I couldn't tolerate the 100% pg. I used about 50/50 and it cut it enough for me to vape. I think the glycerin should be cut with either distilled water or vodka, but I had neither (and didn't know until later). Someone here with more experience can chime in with better instructions. Good luck.
