Is my luck that terrible? Or does everyone get the wrong items shipped to them every few orders.

I'm starting to get ......, after the Liquid Express fiasco were I finally got a replacement and it was the same incorrect juice I got the first shipment. (LiquidXpress if your reading this I know its news to you, but I gave up)

Now my Avid order with two simple items.

10) 306 Bridgless atomizers in 1.5 ohm. Correct (whew I feel lucky)
3) 306 Bridgless atomizers in 2.5 ohm. New item for my to try on my VVW. Wrong item shipped.

This is the second time I've received a different item than the packing slip stated from AVID.
So I look back and I've only ordered from the 6 times total (large orders).

So I'm getting a 33.3% error rate from them. I know thats not a large sample or indicative of the whole business but 33% makes this customer pretty dam upset.

But honestly I don't think anyone i've ordered from more than 3X has been error free.
I know ... Mom and Pop ... Small Business ... Second Job ... bla bla bla its pitiful.

<end rand>
<feeling slightly better>

I take that back I've ordered from COV more than 3 time and Bruce has never let me down :)
And alien Vison has been error free every time.

And REOS mods .... Rob has never let me down either. In fact sometime he surprises me with a great deal or a gift.

Got the Woodvil from Rob today and its better than expected. Its a "scratch and dent" item to Rob the perfectionist but it looks dam sexy to me.

Thanks again Rob !!

I don't think anyone has shipped the wrong part to me. I guess I'm lucky.
I have had bad products though- recently the smaller solar charger (haven't dealt with that yet)
Oh, and usb Xtar chargers (for 18350's) that charged too high. After two of them being this way, Randy replaced both with one he tested true. Kudo's to RTDVapor and Randy for an outstanding and above expectation service!! Rob is the same way- will go way out of his way to make sure his customers are fully satisfied!!

I know where you're coming from Tim. It's the times we live in. The generation we grew up in took a lot of pride in their work and were responsible for it. That has changed and is changing at an alarming rate. Businesses are becoming less conscientious toward their customers. As a business owner I see this constantly. We struggle with suppliers and processors. Good ones are hard to find and if you do find some, not only do they charge more, but they can easily change for the worse in a blink of an eye with different management.

What really gets my back fur up in when a business that sells us materials or a service suddenly get the attitude that they are the customer and we should be glad we give them our business, when in fact the quality of work they put out can be had somewhere else and for less money. Having a top notch quality system doesn't guarantee a quality product or service unless the employees are conscientious about their work and toward their customers.

A lot of today's employees have the attitude that if they can't do their job right, then someone else will pick up the slack for them. They really don't care if they screw up and it's going to get worse. Are today's generation of employees a product of our generation's teachings that has created this trend? Maybe we spoiled them too much and they expect everything handed to them on a silver spoon instead of facing what real life is all about.

So hang in there Tim because it surly won't get better. All we can do is shake our head, tolerate it or find another source for our supplies. Yes, Rob is a rare commodity and us REO lovers are lucky. He obviously had great pride in his work and product.

Tim, I dealt with Avid vcapor once, they actually argued with me and were sarcastic in the emails!!
And wouldn't take back the wrong, defective parts.

So, no, you're not alone. i think too many people just " bite the bullet" and don't say anything, part of the reason, I feel, that
so many businesses are so arrogant and shipshod.

Doing everything in house brings its own headaches but at least you will know where you stand. But I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

I think Rob from LiquidXpress saw this post??
Yesterday I got a notice that a package was on its way to me from them.
He sent an email shortly after that and it said he is sending me a package.
He told me to read the enclosed letter and enjoy the package contents.

He really has gone out of his way to make it right after my initial problems with his solution.
Wonder what he sent me ??

I hear way too often that "everybody makes mistakes"

While thats true its amazing how few mistakes one will actually make with a little intelligence and some pride in your work.

After I sold my business of 25 years I took a job at a hospital for the health insurance while my wife went back to school to become an RN.

You'd be surprised how few mistakes your allowed when you work in health care.
Often times your first mistake is also your last mistake with that employer. And rightly so I think.

People should start picking my orders like they are doing open hear surgery :D

I firmly beleive things happen but of to me its more about how its dealt with after the fact. The nice thing about the majority of vendors is there small operations and most (not all) will step up and admit the mistake and make it right.
I totally agree. Make a mistake step up and take care of it quickly . I personally haven't had any problems with small e cig venders .
