is it normal to lose some juice with a clearomizer?

I have a vivi nova but I seem to be losing a bit of juice. Everytime I fill up, the juice is consumed faster than what I think I vape. The other day, I tilted my PV upside down when I tried to vape laying down, and juice got into my mouth. After I cleaned the drip tip, no more juice came out.

So I think an excess juice will get into the coil and the air channel even when you are not vaping. This excess juice will come out and get into your month if you vape upside down. I guess it can also come out of the other end where the clearo connects with the battery, which is why I sometimes notice a little bit of juice at the connection.

So this is normal and common with clearomizers right?

To some degree, yes, it's normal. Vaping upside down with a wicked top coil device is generally a bad idea, as you know. They are also prone to overwick/flood if they are filled to high or are not kept upright, if the juice level in the tank is very close to or over where the wicks enter the coil this will often happen. You can try adjusting the cap that goes over the coil, pushing down to lessen the juice that gets to the coil or vice versa. Fluffing the wicks where they enter the coil might help also.

If you are not seeing puddles, you are not loosing diddly.
E-liquid wicks to the TOP coil
Laying Down FLOODS the coil
Guess where the coil is?........In the center tube, in direct alignment with your Drip Tip and MOUTH
So where is the excess going to go?

If under normal use, no puddles and faster e-liquid loss - You are Vaping more than you think:laugh:

Your also using about .5ml just to wet those wicks. I always noticed that I used more juice when using a vivi nova as opposed to an EVOD or protank.

I wouldn't recommend you vape lying down anyway - for the very reason you stated - juice in the mouth is no fun.

If you want to vape in a reclined position, you can get a longer drip tip with a kink in it, or one that rotates. These can help you keep your battery and clearo in a more vertical position while you recline.
