Is it normal?

my 510 is getting hot, is that normal? Does it need cleaning or is it about to quit? I don't use it all that much for it to be getting hot.

Where exactly is it getting hot? The battery, the atomizer, or what? The atomizer will get warm, but I don't know that I'd call mine "hot".

I would have called mine hot ... in my experience this can be due to overfilling (flooding), too frequent use, or due to a need for cleaning. I usually attributed my experience to one of the first two

My 510 atty will get very warm at times if I take to many drags in a short amount of time. When it does which I just take a little more time between puffs.

Attys can get hot if used when it can't get enough fluid i.e. the cart needs topping off with fluid or the stuffing is not contacting the atty well or the stuffing is old and not wicking well. When my atty is getting too hot I try to figure out what is wrong with the cart and liquid.

And when an atty is dirty or if the battery is getting low, then that can cause you to drag more often and longer, so as a side effect the atty could get hotter.

It should never increase in heat when you are not using it, unless you have a defective auto battery or a stuck button on a manual.

It is common for atomizers to get warm and in some cases even hot. Give it some time to cool down....if you're running it hot fairly often, it would be a good idea to blow it out a little more often to keep it from gunking up.

When I get stressed I tend to take many long vapes off of mine and it gets so hot I can almost burn myself on it. I know this isn't good for the atty. I try to let it cool off before I use it again but yes, they can get hot if you take long hits off of it or several hits in a row without letting it cool off.
