Is it not a good idea to go beyond higher watt than it's suggested?

I'm using the topbox mini with 0.5 Clapton coil. Just switched to a High VG juice for the first time, Honey Blacktea by Tea Up(90%VG). Based on the little guide card from Kanger, I should be vaping at around 15-40watt. However, I find that even at 40watt, I'm unable to get a suffice warm vapor, not until I'm at 50~60 watt. The taste is awesome though.

So, I wonder is it a bad idea to go beyond the suggested limitation? Will I have better luck switching back to the SS/Ni200 coil with TC mode?

Thank you!

If you have a coil with a recommended wattage 15-40 watts, what that tells you is where to start:
it means:
- don't waste your time starting from 1 watt and going up 1 watt at a time.
- Start at 15 and go up; don't start at 40

also, you might find it vapes at 50-60 in a cold environment, but 40-50 in a warm environment.
