Is it recommended to have a dual coil??

It depends what you want out of a vape. If you're a cloud chaser then dual-coil it up and drill out bigger air holes, but understand that you're going to be using more juice. Dual-coils can also give you more throat hit and can be helpful if you're trying to lower your nicotine levels. Like the others have said, the nice thing about RDAs is that you have so many options.

IMO you shouldn't mess with dual coils just yet. Get comfortable making single coils that vape well, then apply that experience along with a little more electrical theory to attempt dual coils.

2.2 ohms will be a little high on a mech unless it is a microcoil (which I am finding that I am not entirely impressed with, but that is beside the point). It will work fine if you have VV/VW. I recommend starting at 1.5 ohms with a mech/unregulated.
