I'm wanting to buy a drip tip to get with my SVD that I'm getting. I know the ohm for the Svd won't work below like 1.1ohm or something close to that. I wanted to get this drip tip to practice with the coils on a regulated mod before buying a mech sometime in the future. I was thinking of trying the igo-l or igo w. Any recommendations for this would be appreciated. Also could someone give me a little bit of instructions or help on getting the supplies for the coils and maybe how many wraps and all that. I figure a single coil would be best since I'm just starting and a dual coil divides the ohm in half. Where to get wire? What kind of wire? Wick type? How many wraps? Any help would be appreciated.

A drip tip is the mouth piece, what you're talking about is an rda (rebuildable dripping atomizer).
As for recommendations I would suggest the igo-l, easy, lots of space, single coil.
Wire, kanthal. Kanthal is resistance wire. The higher the gauge, the higher the resistance/foot. Where to buy? Amazon.
Wick, lots of wicks to choose from. My personal favorite is cotton, as in cotton balls, organic not treated with bleach. But many swear by silica, ekowool, stainless steel mesh, hemp, ect.
Get yourself an ohm meter from a B&M or online vape store. Get one, no exceptions, unless you're comfortable with or already have a multi meter.

The SVD has a built in ohm reader. While the L is a good beginner option, consider the W because it has the feed thru posts which are a heck of a lot easier to use than the L screw down posts. Shoot for 1.4-1.5 ohms instead of 1.3 because the SVD will not fire if the resistance is below 1.3.

I just use 5 wraps of kanthal 32 around 2mm silica on my IGO-L. Very simple atomizer, but it only does single coils (which is fine for me).
Somebody on ebay sells a few feet of 2mm silica and kanthal for under $5 with free shipping, and an IGO-L will run you under $15. That is what I got for my first RDA, and it's still my favorite.
While I'm sure that all the microcoil and cotton rage is just great, I just wrap everything with the same 5 wraps over silica rope. Gives me a good vape, lasts a long time, and you can do it quickly. When I say everything I mean Kayfuns, Russians, Omega and Aqua (I have about half dozen or more atomizers of different types now).
Get a simple dripper, wrap a simple coil, and go from there. Once you do it the first time and find out how great it works, you can begin to experiment will all the options that are available.
By the way, I also have an SVD, as well as an Evic. That SVD with a Russian 91 will give you a hernia!

Yes, in fact I bought the exact same thing. The first wire/wick I bought only had about 3 ft, and costs maybe $3.99, but I've used most of that up, so I got the one you posted to keep me in business.
