Yes, they usually don't work quite as well after they are cleaned (IME).

Look on youtube for 'cleaning cartomizers' for several different methods.

Many people boil them, or use a syringe with an adapter to push water through. It takes them while to dry, but you can rinse with vodka or PGA to make them dry faster, spin them (look up Taryn spin), or put them on a heater vent.

I cleaned a few of mine using the steamer on my espresso maker. They got really clean, but even after using the taryn spin, they took forever and a day to dry. Now, I just keep refilling til they start to go bad and toss them. With the RY4 that I use, they actually last pretty long if I don't let them get too dry.

Absolutely reuse the tanks! I rinse them out with warm-to-hot tap water thoroughly, shake them off good to empty out any and all water, and then refill. You can buy new tank caps (I strongly recommend the softer ones made out of silicone rather than the hard ones that come with many of the tanks) at a number of websites.

Hi Jacq, Yes they are meant to be cleaned and refilled IF they are the "T"(your post says 510t) version tanks. So I assume you are using the standard gear that comes with the kit. When I used the tank systems the only time that I would not reuse them was when they would begin to leak, usually from the center hole being opened farther than it should or the cap stopped sealing onto the tank correctly. This was normally after weeks of use. Hope that helps. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Hi Jacq!

Tanks are easily cleaned and can be used many many times.

You can use a standard dish soap, just make sure to rinse well.

Easiest way is to soak in a bowl of hot soapy water, then run water through the top to clean the airflow vents and to use a syringe to push hot water in and out of the juice holding part of the tank since it doesn't really drain out well.

And while you can remove the little cap on the bottom of every 510 tank I've seen, I would try to avoid this if at all possible because you get leakage after that cap has been taken off and put back on.
