Is it safe to use gorilla glue

I just re-glued my protank together using DAP All-Purpose Adhesive Sealant for aquariums. Supposedly food safe. Gluing it together was pretty straight-forward. I just filled the glue to the first line on the insideof the mouthpiece. Seemed to be just enough glue. After I let it cure for 48 hours, I'll post again to let you know how it tastes lol.

The only problem I have with Glues is that a Glue may be considered Non-Toxic in a Cured State, or Safe to use in Contact with Water, but will the glue Break Down in contact with Nicotine?

Or more So. Will the glue Break Down in Contact with the Chemical Cocktail of Flavorings/Sweeteners present in Many e-liquids?

I dunno?

That is why I toss things out more than Glue them. Clearos and tanks are Cheap when compared to Cartons of Cigarettes.

So true, Zoid.

While waste is never a good thing - for our wallets or our planet - most of our hardware really wasn't made to last forever. (Doh, what is??) So some things, when they break, wear out, or otherwise reach the end of their useful life are best consigned to the spare parts bin, and replaced with new.

Of course, some things can benefit from creative restoration... and at the price of Protanks, I can see where some would want to try that route.

As long as the glue is kept away from the inside of the glass, it shouldn't be an issue, imo.
