I vape in my room, and sometimes my kids come in. There's a sign on my bedroom door that says "No Smoking- Only vaping", it gives anyone who comes in here a heads up, and it really helped when I made the switch to vapes instead of smokes. I don't keep anything in a low reach where little hands could get into it either. I don't really think about it other than that.
I do know that after vaping a while I can't stand it when people smoke in my house now, it just reeks.

Yes, I understand and my bottles are kept in my little case that came with my PV.

Hi!

I do smoke around kids, but not much. The thing I noticed is that they like the fruit smell (I smoke cherry, apple, blueberry) and even asked me to try, had to explain that is dangerous and addictive. I order from airsmoke, they have baby-safety caps on e-liquids, but, of course, I also hide them, so they can not reach them. Be safe, protect your loved ones =)

We have to be careful here, while many people feel vaping is safe no one knows anything for sure, although I would bet my savings it’s safer than cigarettes that’s not saying much considering how dangerous cigarettes are. I truly don’t feel the real danger in vaping around children is health related though and I am more cautious of the fact we are vaping sweet smelling stuff and children of course are attracted to sweets. The dangers of very young children going to elaborate lengths to get what they can very well view as a candy type thing is very real…….anyone remember sneaking into their parents room looking for the forbidden? The results of this can be devastating to the child, the family and the entire vaping community. Those with mods have to consider using a devise that has a chance (however small) of blowing up around children and those with automatic battery cig look a likes need to be concerned that if they lay the thing down yes there is a good chance the child will try and can easily succeed in ‘getting a hit’. Those that DIY need to very extra careful of their concentrate sitting in the freezer. This industry until the FDA gets involved is so unregulated that we as parents must be ever so more diligent in what we are doing. The dangers are real and we as a community are threatened from all sides….one slip up in the news and even if the child turned out ok the public will turn on us. Parents have the right do decide what is best for their families; I just hope that people are carefully weighing all the dangers and possibilities here. Our children are innocent and shouldn’t be allowed the possibility of paying for our addictions. The vaping community is wonderful and is dealing with enough threats without adding fuel to the fire. I guess I just took the long way in saying that we don’t know about any health related second hand dangers in vaping but that does not mean they don’t exist nor does it mean there are not separate dangers we need to also be concerned with.

Ps. my child is 3…those with older children will have their own unique set of challenges and decisions to be made.

Edit - ok so that as more about other dangers rather than the effect of second hand vapor, I apologize but this subject has been very much so on my mind and at times I feel like I am walking through a land mine between the danger you can easily see and the danger that you can only guess at, add in the implications of a young child liking my pv and the ever present lurking government waiting for a slipup and the endless possibilities for mistakes to be made in a political climate that will use every slip up as a club against the whole community and I am afraid I am very much on edge right now
