Hey everyone,

I've been away for awhile, mostly because I found a set up that has worked for me over the last year or so. That set-up is simply an I-stick 20w, I stick 30w or I stick mini ( I also have I stick 50w, but don't care for it). As for tank, I use the Aspire mini nautilus.

Over my time, I've gone through several I-sticks because the threading ends up wearing out and have to buy a new one. As for my nautilus, I do love it but recently broke the glass again.

I plan on keeping at least two of these set-ups for now, but wondered if I should consider bringing in a new type of battery and/or tank into my rotation since there has likely been some advancements made since found what has been working.

I should also note than when I started vaping several years ago, I tried several set ups including building my own coils, dripping, sub ohm. I settled on the set up I have now because of ease of use. I just want to fire up and replace with stock coils as needed. That part is still important to me, so any suggestions that can enhance my vape without requiring a lot of tinkering would be helpful. Also a battery that lasts longer but can adjust the wattage.

Thanks for any suggestions.

As far as isticks go the newer ones don't have the problems with the threads the older ones did. No more than any other mod anyway. I have this one in my rotation with an lg HG2 battery and it pretty much last all day. iStick 60W TC $28.99 - $34.95 Temperature Control by Eleaf - Eleaf - By Brand
Plus 35 bucks is hard to beat for the mod and a pretty good tank. The battery is the only extra expense

I was going to suggest the eVic VT mini too, but I was going to recommend the kit with the triton or the mini triton tank. The mini triton coils are compatible with the nautilus coils (and vice versa) so you can keep just a single set of coils. The tank is glass but it is covered too so it doesn't break as easily as the nautilus tanks. The evic is a great little mod, a little smaller than the istick 20 and 30, but a little heavier. It also does temperature control (if you are interested) and has the ability to be upgraded by firmware. They make temperature control coils for the triton mini, so if you want to go into those waters you can still use a blister pack.

Good Luck on your search.

If the Nautilus works for you stick with it. I made the mistake of thinking I needed to upgrade to newer tanks and such but mostly just wasted money. And here I am a year later still using the mini Nautilus while most of those purchases have been sold or given away.

Electronic Cigarette - Best Electronic Cigarette - Vapor Cigarette ASPIRE NAUTILUS MINI HOLLOWED OUT SLEEVE at www.evape.us You can go that route.

Or you could get the Plato when it comes out. It would be a little larger than your Isticks, but no tank needed and you could still use the same coils.
Aspire - Aspire Plato

If you decide to give sub ohm another shot, most tanks these days have a good variety of prebuilt coils, you would probably need a mod that can handle at least 60-75W (I prefer at least 100W).

I've tried the herakles plus, crown, kanger toptank, UD Zephyrus V2 and have to say my favorite is still the crown, no hassle, no leakage, good flavor, good vapor, affordable tank/prebuilt coils, and its really not that big of a juice guzzler IMHO.

But if you're strictly a MTL then as other members mentioned, theres no need for an upgrade (maybe a triton mini).

One thing to consider is the new vt/tc (variable temperature / temperature control) mods that can do variable temperature with a variety of wire types including stainless steel.
Steel can be used in vt mode or vw mode, and it's generally regarded ok to dryburn it.

I just upgraded my hardware a few weeks ago... to a trio of KBOX-70 mods and a trio of Nautilus Mini tanks. My old hardware went out of production so I had to find something current that did what I needed it to do.

I have always adhered to simple & just works for my vaping tools and it sounds like you are the same way. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

It sounds to me like for a vaper of your style, you are already using one of the best tanks on the market. As far as batteries go, I have limited experience with the newer box-style models. If you have one that works for you, stick with it. If not, head to your local vape shop and ask to play with some things. Grabbing a few new toys can be fun and keep the vaping interesting.

At the end of the day, do whatever you need to keep yourself off the stinkies. Don't feel pressured to update if everything is working well. I was on my old hardware for years. Good luck!

I started a brother of mine vaping Christmas 2014 with an N mini and iStick 20w. Since then he has a spare of both and doesn't want to change a thing and I can't think of any reason why he should. He vapes 2-3 ml's a day at 12 watts. I envy that.

Instead of new hardware consider DIY. The safe way to do that is simply dilute the commercial eliquids you like. Most of them are over flavored so you can cut them 33/66 or 25/75 and they taste the same.
