It sounds like you're not using it correctly. You can't use variable voltage settings and variable wattage settings at the same time. One or the other. Which ever setting you viewed last on the display (vv or vw) is the mode it's in. My advice is forget vv mode. Hold vw button until it shows watt setting, adjust to desired watts, vape. Adjust as required. As soon as you view the vv setting, the device is in vv mode. Confused? ;)

Makes perfect sense, didn't realize that.. It makes more sense now though because I didn't understand how you could do both, but I would adjust them anyway!

Just think of it like this -

VV will set the voltage and that's what you're vaping at, simple as that.
VW the device will measure the resistance of the atomizer and then change the voltage to reach the desired wattage.

Really they'll both work just fine for you. Switching from a spinner it might feel easier to use the VV at first, but as you progress a lot of the higher end regulated devices (such as DNA-30, IPv2, etc.) use mainly VW... So it's worth using the wattage mode to get used to :p Plus theoretically all tanks vape the same or very similar given the same wattage. (Granted, there are other factors such as airflow coil size coil type wick type etc., but yeah).

Enjoy the MVP, great little mod, had one myself before I switched to RDA's & mechs ^_^

I am definitely liking this MVP so far, it's very easy to use and gives great results, the ability to "tune it in" to the atty or clearo you are using is awesome. I went yesterday and got myself a kayfun and so now it's a whole nother' level! I think this was a good purchase, something that will work with anything and will give great results with a top shelf atty. All in all I don't think I could have gone wrong with it, next will be on to the samovar with a real kayfun, after that, who knows? I think an RDA on a panzer sounds pretty awesome!

If you're liking the kayfun now, getting it built for and supplying it with more power will ruin the MVP for you. Run mine at 18w and it's ridiculous. Warm, flavorful goodness.

I know and that's the catch 22! I am thinking I will get the semovar which will push 15 watts, I think it would be a good match for it. I will most likely end up with a nautilus on the MVP at some point because I really like the way they hit. I think I will save the crazy tinkering for an RDA with a mech or a DNA30, give or take.

Function-It's brass (soft) and the positive pin is not adjustable. The beauty ring provides sub par support to 510 atomizers.
Form-Stuff looks better on mine.
;)
fatdaddyvapes.com 510 connector

How does the beauty ring work? I got a ring with my Aspire but no connection to it so I cant really use it.. how do you connect it?

I would buy an e leaf istick way before an mvp. With how far the vape world has come 11 watts is just not nearly enough for me, and the products that are coming out these days. Everything is going to more and more airflow, and at 11 watts with some of these new tanks it's going to be struggling to keep up with the increased airflow...

I would get the e leaf i stick. Goes to 20 watts instead of just 11. I could stay off cigarettes forever with 20 watts, but 11 watts.... meh... it's just not very satisfying to me.

I hear ya, in the future I may go that way but for now the MVP is working pretty well for me, I am still new to this after all.. I will also add, I don't care much for a lot of airflow, I know that may sound odd but I am looking for throat hit, not clouds so I have my air screw way down so it draws harder, throat hit seems a lot harder with less air IMHO, just my preference.
