Is it worth it? No, Really, IS it?

My thoughts on the Zen:

The Zenesis Mini Has Landed

This was, indeed, a very tough break for me. I really wanted to absolutely LOVE the Zen, what with the cool name and beautiful packaging...as well as the huge amount of hype surrounding them. I wanted the fact that it is made of the same materials as the space shuttle to somehow make it 100000000000000 times better than the clones, or the two-piece systems, or anything else out there...

But to my unbiased, rational mind, it wasn't. In fact, the real breakthrough is, it didn't even MATCH it's competition, let alone leave them in the dust. In the battle between the beautiful, fast Ferarri and the lowly Hyundai, the Hyundais took the cake today.

Sorry guys.

It is a great looking device and I am sure it works well for many people. I think it has been WAY over rated myself. It has no locking button and only one O-ring to hold the cap on. For me I would think it would get knocked off in the flashlight holster I use. I think Something like a Cobra (which I use) or similar is better because you can switch devices to use it on. I still want a Orion even though it is a one piece.

Yeah, I once wanted a hybrid myself, but with my GGTB and Cobra, I get a device that looks exactly like a hybrid. They're both the exact same size and fit perfectly. Plus the GGTB top cap is adjustable so I can have the wick line up in any position I want, lending me the most comfortable grip possible. You can barely even tell from the seam that they aren't 1 solid piece, and it works like a champ. Best RBA or heck, any kind of device i've ever used by far, and I can also use it on my Provari, my SB, etc.

Wow..that was a brutally honest review. Probably why I always enjoy them, no fluff and to the point.....BTW..You know you just ...... off a lot a people. lol.

I'll take that chance, lol- thanks!

PS The Zenfidels are an awesome bunch of people, I got to know them very well over the course of my attempt to get one of these, and all the way through the testing... I'm being serious here- but if it scores me some points with them, that's all the better as well...

Well, I survived the hate mail so far. Sorry to those who think I'm an idiot, I swear I'm being completely honest! Somestimes, lying to everyone and giving it [mock english voice] "my average score of 8 out of 10" seems like a better idea...ah well.

(yes I was just screwing with the guy, I think he does a fine job with his vids :) )

Hey man, you gave an honest review and opinion of a device, I see no need for you to apologize for that.:headbang:

I like to consider myself a bit of a pro at this vaping thing and I have been back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to get a hybrid and could never convince myself to do it for many of the same reasons in yer review. It's nice to see a clean, clear and honest view of the negatives of a product to help decide on a purchase.

I believe that there was a time when a hybrid style mode like the Zenesis was one of the best things one could get, but look how fast this rebuildable atomizer market has gained speed recently and even the hybrid market for that matter (ihybrid). I will be vary interested to see what the next 6 months or so will be like for this high end hybrid/atomizer market....I think a shift might be coming

I'm sure there will always be a big loyalty base tho.....I mean look at what people have always paid and continue to pay for GG stuff:ohmy::blink:

I vaped a Zen mini and a Darwin at Vapercon last month and frankly, I wasn't impressed with either. The draw on the Zen was so airy I'm not even sure if I got a hit, just kind of smiled and handed it back. And the darwin just kind of felt flimsy in my hand. That swivel arm got on my nerves and if it was mine it'd surely be broken in a few weeks. It performed great, just the build that turned me off with the darwin, and exactly the opposite with the Zen. I'm not rushing out to drop $250+ on anything unless it's absolutely flawless and does everything I want it to.

Now I guess I'll start getting hate mail, too. Just being honest.

I had the same experience with a ZattyPro at a local meet a few weeks ago. It looked great on a Provari. But way too airy for me. It didn't perform as well as the AGA I was using at the time.

Hate mail? Seriously? This stuff reminds me of the Harley riders, when the Japanese HDalikes started coming out several years ago.

Yeah, I got hit with a few nasty PM's over it- but it was to be expected, I mean there are a lot of hardcore (read: crazy) Zen fans out there.

I think it's kind of amazing how much time people take writing long hate letters...two of them were loong...

I've also gotten a number of offers to buy it, but I sold it yesterday, lol ;) And, I've had a number of PM's supporting my review too-more of them than the angry people sent!

Also, I thought it would tast like crap, but I absolutely love pluid. It's the best juice I've ever had, ever. I thought I wouldn't like it before I bought it...
