As many vapers as there are, you will probably hear as many varied responses. Direct sunlight is probably not a good idea because of the UV rays and direct heating, but much probably depends on whether your juice is in glass or other material. Normally lit rooms probably don't pose any difficulty either. I have a corner of my computer room which is somewhat dark and I park all my bottles there. I think proper steeping has more to do with whether you leave the tops off for a few days, how often you swirl around the juice and how long you just let it sit. I do know most of my juice tastes much better after two to three weeks of steeping quietly than right out of the mailbox. Then there are those juices which don't change at all after a couple months steeping.
