Oddly no one has commented on the weirdest thing you said about your fake Mini. That being your airflow ring turns to the left to increase airflow. The airflow ring on all nautilus Minis should turn to the right to increase airflow.
Also, unlike the regular nautilus which does not lock in place as securely, the Mini airflow ring locks in quite snugly with virtually no play. At least that's how it is on both my authentic Minis.

Anyway, you've already established yours is a fake, but now you have the bonus of it being free. Hopefully you get an authentic before too long.

I nearly purchased one of these fake mini's on ebay because all the reviews stated that it was authentic and that the security code checked out. After a bit of searching i found a forum (doubt i'm allowed to post this particular forum here) post where someone bought one of these fakes. By glancing you really can't tell a difference but place the authentic box and atty side-by-side and there were glaring differences in the box material and even some misspelled words on the box of the fake one. The heads on the fake were quite different internally as well.

The security code did indeed check out as you mentioned. I'm glad i found the post as it saved me the trouble of purchasing a fake!

It looks like there has been some type of "leak" at Aspire (Eigate) and someone has their algorithm for generating their authentication codes, or someone figured it out. Either way, there seems to be a huge influx of these fakes with authentic security codes. Be careful what you order guys and you may want to go beyond the security code to verify the authenticity of all Aspire products until this is sorted out.
