I will say that I've run almost every variety of Ego battery at 1ohm(sometimes slightly lower), but after looking up what batteries are actually inside the Ego batteries and finding that they were incapable of providing the amperage required for 1ohm and lower coils, I stopped doing it. No need to have an accident and feed the media. There MIGHT not be any problems, but that's not something you want to bank on when your face is involved.

I suggest save up a little, and then look for something that would give you a lot more overhead. For a minimal expenditure you can find something that can operate way lower than you think you plan to go right now, with way more power than you think you need/want. A Kanger Subox kit is a fine example, and would allow you to switch tanks at will. If you absolutely don't want to go box mod style, then wait until you can buy the Ego One kit in it's entirety.

How much is the kit you are looking at, if you don't mind my asking? There might be a better price available. I see them available for $40.

I live in Romania. The cheapest Ego One Xl here is about $59. If bought separately the atomizer is $18 but only comes with 1 coil (1ohm), and the 2200mah battery is $37 but comes without wall adapter or usb cable

If stuff is hard to find in your country I think you should look for a rebuildable, preferably an rda, and get your own wire (30 gauge kanthal for example); then you can do your own 2 ohm coil and put that on an ego battery

I wouldn't run any Ego class battery below 1.5ohms. If it doesn't error out that your load puts it over its 2.5 to 3amp switch limit, at least an authentic Joye, Ovale, or Vision Ego should. Go over the limit you have a potential firecracker in your hands.
I agree with these comments. :thumb:
Ego batteries were only designed to fire normal resistance coils -- 1.5 ohm to 3.0 ohms.
