Not sure but a couple things in the kit do look iffy. For a comparision take a look at what Cignot has in their Type A kit.

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-egt-all.htm

It looks like your kit has old style eGo batteries - the type you can't turn off and on. They will work - they just aren't the latest design from Joye. And I have no idea who makes the charger in your kit. Mine says "eGo USB charger" on the part that connects to the battery.

Personally I wouldn't let it get to you too much. Vapour Solutions don't make any claims that it's not a genuine Joye (typically, vendors tend to crow about carrying genuine Joyetech products) so it may not be -- in fact, I don't think Joye made 900mAh batteries, just 650 and 1000. I'd be a little bothered by the lack of the 5-click feature though, I do like that feature.

you are right, i emailed them and they emailed me back within minutes. She informed me that they create the kits themselves, the attys are joye but the battery as you said is generic, but i am happy with it, gonna enjoy a canadian beer with a canadian vape as we speak :)

Yeah, you shouldn't have any issues. I have a couple non-Joye batteries and they work fine. Could never come to like the tanks though.

Canadian beer though, I can do, along with a Canadian vape. Well, kind of Canadian, considering my nic, PG and VG comes from the US and my flavourings are from Italy. But they were mixed in Canada. :D

Hi.
The genuine ego batteries are running at 3.4volt, while some ego clones are 3.7volt. Actually, you'll get better flavor, vapor production, and throat hit when you vape at higher voltage. Sure the authentic Joyetech has good quality control, but the clones such as Kgo aren't bad either. So, there's nothing to worry about either way, IMHO.

It seems like Joyetech are the industry standard, and others are copying them. I am pretty sure that Joyetech do not have a copyright on "Ego", so anyone can call their Joye copy an "Ego". As mentioned, most suppliers shout from the roof-top that they carry "genuine" Joyetech, usually a bit more expensive too.

I saw a youtube video with a guy opening up a Riva battery, and it was actually a Joye battery inside. Good chance that Riva buy all of Joyetech's old batteries and re-pacakge them.

FWIW, I think many people prefer Echo cartomizers as opposed to Ego ones, so even if it is not genuine-joyetech, it can still be a good product.

Welcome!!! I do know some of the Joye stuff can be genuine but not hold their logo... Totally Wicked stuff is from them but just has the emblem of the devil and possibly the name of the device such as "Tornado T" in my instance. Or maybe as its the steel one its just not been printed on =S....

If is works then nout to worry about!!! All the best anyway and I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do and many other people :toast:

I just wanted to clarify that these voltages are under load. They will all probably be advertized as 3.7V devices. Genuine Joye eGos (which include most if not all house-branded models, plus Janty) are regulated at 3.7V unloaded and function at about 3.3-3.4V under load (when an atty/carto is attached). Some clones, such as the eGo LCD, Riva and a few others, come off the charger at around 4.1-4.2V and vape at around 3.7-3.8V under load. Voltage will drop as the battery depletes with use, naturally.

FWIW, I think many people prefer Echo cartomizers as opposed to Ego ones, so even if it is not genuine-joyetech, it can still be a good product.

Keep in mind that there are two Echo cartomizers, the Echo-E, which is an eGo-style recessed 510 connection, and the standard Echomizers, which are an 808/901 connection.

What do you use? seems like the majority of folks are using a catomizer, i was looking at the CE2 cleartomizers they look neat, as all i have used is a tank i wouldnt know if it is sucking (no pun intended) or not...i did take the two little pieces out of the mouth piece of the tank and am getting more flavor, but i notice that the back of my tounge and throat get very dry, not sure if this is due to hot vapour or the fact that i havent smoked in many years and have a wimpy mouth :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is all of these Egos, 510s, 901s, etc., are made from the same manufacturer in China. The ones called generic, ie, no logos, are directly purchased from the same country. They are branded by dealers outside of that country.

Some entrepreneurs outside of China like Canada, US, Europe, etc., don't even have to bother about shipping, packaging, taking orders, etc. All they do is come up with an online store and the transaction is taken over by dealers in China. I bought some of my kits from a site identifying itself as a Canadian store and expected my orders to be shipped from some location in Canada. It turned out that the products' origin upon shipping is China. You could see this when tracking your orders. I paid double the price of the same items if purchased from a Chinese site. Plus I didn't have to pay taxes.

The dryness is probably just vaping in general. PG and VG are both humectants and will dry you out, so drinking more liquids helps a lot with that. I still often wake up with a bit of cotton mouth. :)

Boge and SmokTech cartos are both great, I've used them both and have been impressed by them. The newer Kangers are alright but I find they had a bit of a funky taste after the first fill. I hated Bauway's cartos. I currently use the Fluxomizer Deluxes from GotVapes, as well as a couple of Vision v2s, but both of those required modification before they performed at their absolute best, and neither performed very well (IMO) out of the box, so like most CE2s I still consider them a modder's carto. I do have tutorials on modding both though if you're ever interested.

No, there are a number of E-cig manufacturers, of which Joye is only one.
