Is my Nautilus Mini coil done for?

Well guys it finally happened! After weeks of vaping on my beloved nautilus mini I finally got a big ole nasty dry hit (took a long carbed lung hit at 15 watts..no wonder I got a dry hit) and since then the flavor has not been the same. Now I don't believe I burnt the coil since it isn't giving me the burnt taste I am used to, It's more of a muted, unpleasurable hit with a slight funky metallic after taste. I also noticed when I suck on the tank while not firing it I get nothing but that odd, metallic taste instead of my sweet and savory mach10..I do have several extra coils in case this happened, but is the coil really done for, or can I soak it in vodka and it be good as new again? The taste I mentioned isn't too noticeable, but it certainly isn't the wonderful saturated taste I was getting previously.

I'm assuming that was a 1.8 ohm coil? You've burnt a few layers of wicking material that's wrapped around the coil, and that flavor is not likely to go away, even with a soak. Swap it out, but don't throw it away, someday you might want to try rebuilding it.
