i started vaping 24 mg but soon felt it was a bit much so i went down to 18mg...i vaped 18 for a month or so, maybe a month and a half (about 4 ml/day) and thought i would try lower the nic level (not that i needed to) to 16mg....i vaped 16 for another month (about 4ml/day) and started to get a high pitch ringing sound in my head...i thought it was a nic level, maybe the juice vendor, so i ordered juices from other vendors (in 12mg) but nothing changed. now i can take only few puffs of 12mg and i instantly get the ringing back in my head. i ordered 6mg today and will try to see if it makes a difference. at 12mg im already getting a bit discouraged at the lack of TH (70pg/30vg) and im really not looking forward to see what 6mg will give me :-(
does anyone have other ideas what it could be from? i really feel bummed out.
( i was a 2 pack a day camel lights smoker for years)

I have heard high amounts of nicotine can bring on ear ringing, and am pretty confident I experience this as well. Its easy to take in more nicotine than you need with vaping, so what I do is stop vaping for a while if I bring on ear ringing. I can only recommend the same, and have no idea why it happens or the effects.

If it is only a few puffs now after not vaping for a while then I would change my ejuice vendor, as their nicotine could possibly not be the highest quality? I started at 18mg, and am down to mainly 12 and 6, I had this occuring when I was on 18, and it rarely happens at the lower nic levels. Hope this helps.

p.s. i know lots of people who dont smoke or vape hear ringing in their ears and it could be from a multitude of things, anywhere from an actual electronic device causing a ringing, or a cink in your neck/back...but i wouldn't be surprised if it can happen from inhaling too strongly/often. do some experimenting and see

Have you tried a different E-cig? As LegioX said, sometimes electronics do this, I know it happens to me from time to time especially near the high current wires. If you changed devices when this happened, even changed atty, that might be causing it? Just some food for thought, could be the nic but I'd think it'd be when you were taking much higher doses than what you are now if it were to be an issue.

thank you so much for the replies.
i have 3 different pvs and they all seem to do the same thing. the ringing in my head is not because of the location im at, i can be in my car, at home, visitng else where, shops etc etc.
as much as i would like to think its from the high nic, one would think it would have done the same when i was at 18mg? its a bit confusing to me honestly, since im using just as many ml's/day.
i dont have any 0 nic on order but this week i will get 6mg and if i cant use that...well...i dont want to even think about it.
if i have to try 0, then i will...but ill try 6 mg first. thanks again for the comments.
the juices ive tried come from bwb/joogler/vb/bluemist and honeyville. halo juice is on order as we speak.
i also hate losing the TH but ive read that i can add pga to it to create the sensation.
does 1 drop per 10 drops of juice sound about right?

Blood pressure, swimmers' ear, silent sinus infection with pressure in your ear drums, the onset of tinnitus, there are a number of things it could be since you didn't have this problem at 18mg. It could also be you're body's way of weaning you off nicotine. I've dropped 4 nic levels in the last 6 months simply because I was getting mild nic OD symptoms for no apparent reason. Personally I would think a doctor's visit is in order just to be on the safe side.

..........Its easy to take in more nicotine than you need with vaping, so what I do is stop vaping for a while if I bring on ear ringing...............

This is completely incorrect. It is much more likely to overdo nicotine through smoking than vaping. Vaping is far less efficient in getting nicotine into your system that smoking is.

Based on the thousands of people who vape higher nicotine levels than the OP does without any of these symptoms, it statistically seems more likely that this could be a "flavoring" issue or possiblely an issue that has nothing to do with vaping at all. It could even have to do with stopping smoking and some chemical that the OP is not getting any longer. As someone else suggested, I would schedule a doctor's visit.

I was just about to post something like this.
Started at 36 mg about 7 weeks ago. Vaped that happily for a few weeks, and then BAM suddenly a puff or two of a 36 juice would make my head spin (a little), my ears ring, and my eyes twitchy. So I switched down to 24 about 3-4 weeks ago, and on Saturday it started doing it again.

It's not the flavor (vaped myself quickly into a coma this morning with unflavored juice), it's not the gear (everything was fine on Friday- I'm using Boge 2 ohm cartos), and I was at the doctor's on Friday (minor injury). My BP is PERFECT (120/72), and I'm in general good health. I'm pretty sure I'm just getting too much nic. A few weeks ago I was convinced it was the gear- but I've been having consistently great vaping days until Saturday.

I'm actually thrilled by this. It stinks that I have to get new juice- I just finished cutting down some of my extra flavor juices down to 24 mg, but I'll pass them along to some friends.

Soda/fizzy flavors give a nice throat hit- and I've been experimenting with some black pepper extracts to add it in too.

I was wondering if anyone else went through this? I used to SMOKE- and I mean SMOKE tons. Multiple packs a day, or rollies- strong, strong nic. When I flew I'd have on a patch, be chewing Nicorette, and still want a cigarette.

Weird...awesome, but weird.

i will try the BP later tonight, and i dont expect any surprises as far as that is concerned. i stopped vaping just over 3 months ago and thought whatever changes is being done in my body would be done by now?
i am in very good health otherwise and very active in all regards. this ringing thing hit me out of nowhere.
i have read in many places how the nic intake is less with vaping compared to analogs. today i have vaped no more than 1 ml of 12mg juice and im still hearing the same ringing, it gets louder and more pronounced when i take couple drags. its kind of a mystery to me. i do know the nic leaves the body in 72 hrs, so IF i overdid it with 12mg the past couple of days, this should subside the next day or two. i will try to vape 1ml tomorrow as well. thank you so much everyone for your input.

looks like suzies mom is going through about the same thing, misery loves company, dont you go anywhere from here!!

This happened to my Mom regarding blood pressue, that's why I asked. Maybe it's because she's vaping? But her blood pressure was really low and the doctor actually took her off one of her meds and the other one she only takes once a day now. I took it as a good sign actually.

But if you weren't on any bp meds, maybe it's the nic? To be on the safe side I'd see a doctor.

I hope you're OK. Now I'm going to be worrying about you!

how long ago did you quit analogs? on of the side affects to quitting analogs is blood pressure drop (they say it drops to normal) but im sure that until your body get use to it you blood pressure could variate from high to low so on and so forth.

I didn't see this. My bp did drop slightly and my Mom's did too.

Puffer, odds are that there's some kind of sinus pressure going on in your head, and when you inhale it's increasing the pressure and the sinus bubble (or whatever kind of mucus actually causes sinus pressure). Nicotine can cause some side effects including jitters, dizzyness headaches, and congestion. So if you're a naturally congested person like I am, and you vape without any regard to said congestion, you're increasing pressure. Kinda like ascending and descending in a plane.

I'm not a doctor, I don't even play one on TV, but my best guess is that its not the nicotine itself, its the pressure.
