The new Star Wars movies aren't "pre-prequels." The next trilogy starts with Episode VII.

A lot of fans wanted the new movies to be based on the Zahn novels, but it doesn't look like that will happen. The new movies will be original stories, allegedly based on a George Lucas treatment.

Lucas is supposed to be consulting on parts 7-9, but not directing. It is all supposed to be based off his ideas for the final 3 films. The sicker part is Disney plans to expand it to more movies afterwards....

Yeah, that part actually worries me. CEO Iger said that the longterm goal is to release a new Star Wars movie every two to three years.
