I have a Penelope coming tomorrow from a trade and I'm excited to get it. Also have a provari coming. I'm confused by all the GG products out there and what they do. My main goal is having something portable and stealth as I don't like people to notice me vaping. However when they do I want style! I also want it to taste great and not leak and that is what led me to GG and also the GP line (piccolo/spheroid). Both of these products seem a cut above genesis to my untrained eye, especially GG products.

Now tonight just surfing I could have bought a ufs but I didn't know what it was, googled it and of course went back and it's gone! Now I am kicking myself did I screw up? Is that where its at now or is it Ody, Ithaca or something else? Remember I am willing to sacrifice juice compacity for a smaller form factor, but not taste!

Sincerely,

Confused and interested noob

The Penelope is a great rebuild-able atomizer with the finest craftsmanship to witness, and I know this because I own one. It will almost never leak unless you screw the top cap on very fast. You can flip it upside down or lay it sideways, it will not leak. It is simple to build your own coil and wick, and it only takes about 3-5 minutes to slap it onto the Penelope. The flavor and throat hit depends on how you set up your wick and coil and it will also depend on your e-liquid. From my experience, I went from a atomizer to a cartomizer and then the Penelope, and hands down the Penelope blows everything I've tried out of the water. In the end, you will most definitely be satisfied with the Penelope.

There might be some learning curve if you've never used a rebuildable atomizer before but it is not a steep learning curve. Give it maybe a week or two and you will master it.

To build one's own atomizer rather than buying a premade atomizer or cartomizer has many benefits,

- Your Penelope's performance will depend on your ability to make the best wick and coil setup, and so you have a choice in what quality you receive.

- Building one's own atomizer gives you a sense of accomplishment, especially with the Penelope.

- You will save money over the long run.

And lastly, you will have a device that is made by a man (Imeo) who put time and effort
(and his heart) into building one of the finest rebuildable atomizer's in the world, the Penelope.

The Provari and Penelope is an awesome combo...i think you'll be very happy with it. If you're a beginner then it's probably a good thing you passed on the UFS because it seems to have the biggest learning curve. Although Penelope has a bit of curve too as all rebuildables do if you're a beginner. There is tons of threads/posts here and you can find some very good videos on youtube to help you get started. If you want to simplify things a little, buy the readymade wires at COV when they're available.
GG products are VERY solid well built devices that don't lose their value and will last a lifetime (lol...I sound like a rep)

welcome to the family!

Thanks everyone! I have watched a lot of videos on building the wire and actually practiced that over the weekend, but the wick material is that something unique that I should buy from cov or is their a quality wick I can buy and just cut my own? Also, am I correct that the ceramic piece is the most likely to break?

I'm the one who likes to go harder way, my first kind of mod equipment is UFS.

The fact is that UFS was only available in one peace and not to make it from parts.

See you already know more than me, building new things from parts I don't have the slightest clue how to get there at this time. Congrats on the ufs!

The best quality wick IMO is the one from Bruce (COV). It carries RoHS certification as Imeo has said so you know it's quality silica material. As far as the ceramics are concerned they are extremely durable and they don't crack on their own. I've even dropped one on the floor and it didn't crack. The first issue Odysseus had some that cracked when they were installed but that issue was solved long ago.

I'm on cov now and all that is available is 3.5mm. What's the difference between that and 3mm? It's cheap I mean its wick x 5 for $5.63 how long will that last me should I stock up? Are they rarely available? Thanks again I k ow I'm annoying haha.

The difference between 3.5mm and 3mm is wait for it.......... drum roll 0.5mm thickness:laugh:

Just kidding buddy, seriously now just thickness, it's exactly the same silica wick. If you find it's too thick for your application you can cut the length you want and then unwind it to the thickness you want. I believe Bish even shows it in one of his vids about the dual coil setup. If you're new to making your own coils then I suggest you buy more than you need. You'll always need wick.
Feel free to ask anything else you need. That's what this forum is for:toast:

I cannot Reccomend the Penelope enough .... It's wonderful ..i just got into GG and I'm in love with it and I'm not joking .... To see its craftsmanship and on top the way it vapes " wonderful " ..you will taste your liquid like ull never did " it's no joke" .. For me these attys are the best !!
And I had a few good mesh wick attys and hybrids before but never GG , now I can't see my self going back or needing something else.
Have a GGTS + UFS coming too , that I'm :rickroll:
You did the right choice 101% .

Enjoy .

The 3.5mm is just thicker and works just as good if not better than the 3mm. Supplies are getting better as far as wick goes so you don't need to stock up too much. The x5 packages are 15ft according to the website which will last you a very long time. Each coil you make will only take a couple of inches of wick.

Awesome was just making sure. One last thing you guys think the provari/piccolo are good enough bases for it until proteus comes out or should I chase after a sstb or stealth? Would I notice a difference aside from the awesome looks? (Which might be enough for me lol)

Penelope and Provari together are awesome. This is the combination I'm currently using and couldn't be happier with it. :)

Let's just say that I wouldn't put my Penny on a Provari. But that is me. The GGTB and a nice Stealth would be perfect

I've got the TB and stealth on preorder so I can't compare as of yet. I'm curious why you woudn't use a Penny on a Provari. Is it just looks since it's not an exact fit, or does it vape completely differently? :)
