Rot & Ruin
I believe i just got my very first auto cleaning process after 1 week of e-smoking. I think the reason many people thought they did not have any auto cleaning is because most of us will think we ran out of batt rather den the auto clean kicking in.

I was e-smoking in the washroom just now when i notice the significant drop in vapour and the LED started blinking. Thinking I've ran out of batt, i removed the battery and realised that my atomizer is extremely hot. Screwed the battery back and now it's back to normal.

I'm glad i skipped the cleaning after reading so much about the rotten taste and the killing of atomizers, but will skipping of every auto cleaning harm my atomizer?

I can't tell you if skipping autocleaning will ruin your atomizer. Only thing I can tell you is that it is wise to clean your atomizer regularly. That will maintain its performance. I had a few times that I thought my e-cigs were just done for. I thought, well... there goes another atomizer... then i rinsed and blowdried and its good as new. I believe autocleaning simply burns off excess liquid and perhaps some debries. I think rinsing is smart, especially if you use dirty liquid like e-cig.com's (I do).

You can also try handling the auto-cleaning by just taking out your cart while it is doing that. When finished blow out the air inside (if you are using a closed atomizer); then put the cart back in and smoke on.
Sufficient for my atomizers, this... don't ever have a burnt taste or smell when handling it this way. And perhaps I have some special kind of atomizers... but I've never had one go bust while autocleaning yet, I just let the autocleaning run it's course and all is fine.
