I have about 8 Kanger 808 clearo's for my Volt V2 that I keep filled all the time with different flavors. Generally it will take a week for me to rotate through all 8 of them. I was wondering if filling these clearo's and leaving them set for a week at a time was OK, or would it be best to just fill them as I need them. Currently juicing PinkSpot juice with 80pg/20vg mix.

Thanks

I'm new and still learning all the aspects e-cig's. I come across people talking about steeping and if not done correctly it can ruin a new bottle. I've never steeped anything before and won't try it at the moment. What I have taken notice to however is the cartomizers come with condoms on both ends (to keep the juice fresh or from spilling out) where as clearo's have none. So now I'm wondering should I vape the clearo's until their empty and then refill them when I'm ready to vape that batch again? Or maybe the juice in these clearo's aren't exposed to air like a cartomizer?

Personally, I wouldn't prefill my clearos. Primarily because I have noticed that juice in my clear tends to thicken up and darken if not vaped within a day or 2. I have a Kanger T2 on my desk that has been filled for a few weeks and the liquid inside is really thick and very dark - I will have to clean it and refill it as I'm not going to try vaping what's in there.

Also - it's really easy to fill a clearo so I don't bother to prefill.

Oh - and there's nothing magical about steeping. Steeping just means letting it sit so the flavors blend together better. Some people choose to speed the process by putting thier juice bottle in a bath of hot water and then shaking . .but juice steeps as it sits no matter what you do or don't do.

Thanks for the advise Bosco. When I progress to the Kangers T2 and T3 I'm sure the refill process will be much easier then refilling my current Kanger M3's.

As far as steeping goes, I thought the juice had to be exposed to air? I'm figuring out that the steep process is as subjective as juice flavoring. I've read where they open the juice bottle for 24 hours, shake a couple of time's in between then close the lid for a few a shake a couple more more times........So, simply leaving the juice alone, capped, in a dark dry place for a few days is all? That's easy enough. I do this already while depleting my stock.

There are methods like you mentioned that people use to speed up the steeping process, but they will naturally steep over time either way. I just try to keep enough juice on hand that I can let my bottles sit for a couple of weeks before I open them. Some juices don't really need to be steeped at all. It's something you will learn as you go and find your favorite juices. You will just naturally notice that some juices you vape right away start to taste better as you go through it and the flavors have had time to blend completely.

As for leaving juice in your clearos, I have left juice sitting in them for probably a week or so and they were fine. It really just depends on the type of clearo you are using. I don't really see an advantage to doing that though. Most clearos are easy to fill, so I would just fill what you need for the day or as you go.

My two little plastic boxes of cleartos sit on my sideboard, in fairly bright light. The juice I use will turn yellowish in about a week, but vapes just fine from the cleartos.

I do find discoloration in the T3 to be much less, but the T3 is smoke colored and tends to get stored on my desk, in far dimmer light.

In the boxes, I rotate--newly filled cleartos go in one, I use them from the other, then reverse the boxes when the in-use one is empty and start putting newly filled cleartos into that one. That way I'm sure I'm rotating everything currently in use and the juice doesn't sit for too long.
