Is the Hussar the king of all atomizers for flavour?

Out of the short-list of high-end tanks in rotation; kayfun 5, Rose v3, ESG Skyline, and Hussar -> the Hussar beats everything. For flavor, it in fact beats every RTA that I've ever used, and if you look at my join date here, I've been vaping since the Dawn of Time, so I've used a lotta RTAs :)

On the downside, build quality is ... just okay. For $200 just okay isn't that great. The ESG Skyline costs about same and has absolutely amazing art-level build quality. Just sayin'

Is any tank worth $200+? Well, that'd depend an awful lot on how obsessed you are with your hobby and how hard you work for that $200 :)

Actually--may I also request what your best Kanthal build is as well for the Hussar just in case your favorite is more involved that. Thank you very much schismz!

I'm usually using TC with SS or the Dicodes NiFe30 (Resitherm) wire (I personally do not use Ti wire for coiling). I use the single-coil Hussar deck. With a kanthal build on something non-TC like a ProVari, I use very simple single coils that are usually at .6-1.2Ω and vape at around 13-18watts. Occasionally use twisted kanthal ribbon instead, but not running claptons or doing anything complex on kanthal to bring out the flavor. If you haven't tried running the Hussar with airflow wide open, I'd give that a try ... it does the opposite of what you'd think it would; usually restricted airflow = more flavor, on the Hussar if you open it up, you get more flavor (or I do anyway, all opinions are subjective, your milage may vary ;-)

Hi all. I have gone through a bunch of RTA's. Right now, Kayfun V5 is the king (running kanthal, .55 ohms at around 35 watts seems to be my sweet spot), but I am VERY interested in the Hussar.
Can anyone tell me how Hussar's airflow is compared to Kayfun V5 at most wide-open setting (more air, or less)?
Also, for anyone who has both - how would you compare flavor & ease of building, etc.
Thanks so much for any advice!!

See link above your msg for comments & pic of my daily drivers (which are K5 and a Hussar ;-)

Kayfun 5 wide open = more airflow and smoother.
Hussar = better flavor. It in fact has better flavor than anything I've ever used aside from a dripper, I don't seem to be alone in this opinion.
Ease of building = well, K5 and Hussar are both stupid easy to build. Nothing special to say and no big tricks, except with Hussar just let the wick touch the top of the juice wells, don't stuff it inside or problems will ensue. Less is more. There are a few wicking tuts for the Hussar on YouTube, they're all pretty much the same.

I have not yet tried every single variant of the new SkyDeck for ESG's Skyline, another minute ;-)

Thanks much for the good info, SchismZ! I was hoping for a bit more air flow (I tend to run at .4 to .6 ohms, 30 to 35 watts, so I'm afraid it may get too hot if there's not enough flow). Still, I may have to pick one up to try when Vapinart gets them back in stck...

T for Texas!
I'm re wicking tomorrow so I'll shoot you a video or some pics step by step on how i do it, you can't have it too saturated and you can't have it too unsaturated, it's fairly straight forward though
What happened to the vid and pics @Nayngnottz94? Hook us up.
