If you're talking about the 20W, no matter how much I like mine, I couldn't recommend it to anyone without first knowing what tanks they are using. It doesn't go low enough for some clearos. I haven't had any trouble with the threads, but there have been enough reports of thread problems to take seriously. So, it gets only a qualified reco from me.

I'm really surprised the MVP 20W doesn't get more mention as the ideal "first upgrade" from an ego. Yes, a bit larger and heavier, but very solid. $32 to try one out should fit in nearly all budgets.

I have a MVP ver 1.5, 2 of the MVP 2 and 1 20W. All together, almost enough invested for a Pro-thingy, but I never liked the looks of the P enough to spend that much on one, regardless of reputed durability.
