Is the Vandy Vape Pulse BF Squonk worth getting?

It's on sale for $8.99 and even though its unregulated I'm thinking about it. Anyone know anything about it and can advise me?
I don't need it. But I have a perpetual case of shineitis. I've almost talked myself out of it but I'd really like to hear from folks more knowledgeable about this Squonk. Thanks in advance.

Well, it's cheap, but you don't really need it...but it IS cheap.
I guess it would be a good "Apocalypse" device. Just in case.
Or since it's cheap, it could be a beach/mountain/mud/wash the car device that is light and tough and won't die from a little water or dirt.
Depending on the colors available, and what you will put on top...you know all matchy matchy...you may need to spend more on an rda...and do you REALLY need a new rda also? No, of course not.

I have had mine for over a year and it is still going strong. It is my work/out and about mod. Mine has tahen a lot of abuse and falls. I would get it to protect your other mods from abuse that might kill.them. If you break the Pulse it was only $9 but I haven't found a way to kill mine yet. Mine leaks a bit but not too bad.

Just remember this is the cheap version. Not the 90watt version. I've got a black profile that would go perfectly with the black pulse. Ack!! Decisions decisions. Sigh. I hate this

Can you tell where you saw it? I saw it a few days ago at that price but didn't think I wanted one and forgot where I found it. I might change my mind lol.

The Athena is slightly smaller, but only 18650, aluminum, so a little heaver.
Many complained about the Pulse voltage drop, but for my builds, it wasn't an issue.
Central Iowa Vapors charged $9.95 shipping, but did ship the next day by FedEx. (free shipping at $50)
You should just get both...

Athena was known to have arcing issues. The Pulse doesn't hit as hard as some of my other devices with the same build. I don't have an issue with it though. The Athena is better looking. It is a true mechanical I believe. The Luxotic is another good cheap squonker, about the same size as the Athena but is protected. I just ordered an Azeroth from Vape Wild for $14.99.

If I get both DH will kill me!!!! He might anyway if I just get one. I have 3 squonks I use every day and at least 4 on the table or in the closet. I even made the mistake of admitting I can't find one that was in the closet. I wish he still worked. Then I could get packages hidden before he got home

Never have arcing if I keep No-Ox-Id on the contact points.
My builds never go below .3 ohm, so could be the reason, also.
