Is the vapor always from the juice?

I have a DSE601 e-pipe that I received yesterday. I have been doing a "tasting" today of JC juices. To make this easier and quicker, I bought a $4 bag of poly fiber from Petco so I could quickly change the wick for each test. However, I am finding that the JC juices (I've only tested 5 so far) are largely tasteless with a few having very mild flavors. Now the TAB that came with the DSE601 had a very distinct maple flavor. I want to make sure that it isn't my inexperience working with the poly that is causing the issue. I do see copious amounts of vapor from these tests and I am assuming where there is vapor there is juice. If that is the case then I'd be inclined to think the issue isn't with me. However, if it is possible to get a good amount of vapor even if I somehow screwed up with the poly, I'd like to understand that to.

Thanks.

JC juices tend to be more delicate in flavor than other liquids. As a result, they often cannot be fully appreciated in the DSE601. The TAB carts that came wih the pipe have a very strong flavor that seems to hold up during the journey from atomizer, through the stem and into your mouth.

Visible vapor is a result of the propylene glycol (or vegetable glycerine) content. This is the same stuff used to create theatrical fog. So, it is very possible to have a liquid produce lots of vapor and little taste.

Thanks. I assume then that the issue isn't with my DIY poly.... Do you know of any JC juices that do work well in the 601?

I tried the old formula TN Cured and Kona Coffee flavors in the pipe and the flavor just did not come through like it did on a basic 801 device. I have some of the new forumulation in TN Cured (24mg) and Espresso (24mg), but have not yet tried them in the pipe. I mostly run flue-cured flavors from Best ECig (36mg) or Ruyandirect (26mg) in the pipe. It does hold up really well.

I am considering a purchase of a few flavors from myfreedomsmokes.com. Chris makes some double flavor liquids that might work nicely in the 601. Let us all know if you come across anything you really like in the pipe except for the nasty TAB that shipped with the kit. I know you liked it, but I found it unpleasant.
