Is there a benefit to keeping a product in high demand?

With this last batch selling out in about 15 mins. I've been scratching my head. Why is production not increased to the point where Reos are readily available?
Obvious scenarios:
He's a one man gang~ Get another member in the gang.
The machinist is a poke~ Get another machinist.
The Anodizer is suck~ Find a new one.
Maybe this is just a hobby for him, well that's great, but theres a crud-load of money to be had. Maybe he doesn't care. Which is fine.
I dont mean to be rude, just really curious.
It wont be long until someone comes along with a similar aluminum mod that will be readily available.
Just sayin.

I've wondered the same thing. People that own one love the hell out of them. Seems like there is plenty of demand... Setting up for mass production is a pricey thing. So I'm guessing it's a small enterprise with a few people. This means low overhead and every product is a sale. So if it provides for the guys family there isn't any reason to do more. Seems like the perfect small business to me.

One possibility you left out ... high demand + low supply = higher cost

Not saying this is by design in this case. But, it is true nonetheless.

COV for example: The guy never has anything in stock....why? MAP tanks are popular, but yet you cant ever get one. Want a 18650 while you're there..pffft not gonna happen. Maybe it has something to do with the vapor.

bowtie, he's got more. they will be available next friday. I would assume, he puts up lets say 50 or so, these then sell out, he ships all those out, and then next friday repeats that process. That way its manageable.

Again, the Map tank is made by hand by MostAngryPirate, Bruce @ COV has no control over how many Adam (MAP) makes. Adam (MAP) has a full time job and makes the MAP Tanks in his free time.

Map Tanks usually become available Tuesday around 1-2pm est time.. Not too hard to score one..

There are many reasons for this. Our elected lawmakers have been selling out to big money special interests for several decades now. But that's ok, we can still afford flat screen TV's to watch Jersey Shore and Charlie Sheen's antics, so we're not bothered by their shenanigans.

Considering all the B.S. involved in operating a business on the scale required to meet the current demand, I can't say that I blame Rob for choosing not to "go big".

Ditto Mudflap. Plus, there are many more variables in running a larger business. You have to become an 'S' Corporation, meaning more and bigger taxes to pay to Uncle Sam, more overhead costs, production costs, etc. Then there is the Insurances, payroll, payroll taxes, 941 taxes, local sales taxes, the list goes on and on. Yes, I own a business and it is nerve racking keeping track of it all.
I think the way Rob is doing his process, is just fine. There will "always" be some disgruntled peeps out there in vaporland that just do not understand what all is involved in producing a fine pv, which in fact, Rob is one of those providers. And yes the demand is high for his prduct. Just goes to show how good his pv's are.

Patience bowtie. There will be more Grands very soon (next week). Most all of us REOnauts here in the forum have experienced the same thing you are. I waited for over a month finally getting my Mini. Trust me the wait was more than worth it kind sir. Rob had also experienced problems with his machinist in the psat, I think, having to totally change to a new machinist. That would require programming and setting up the machines all over again and then doing new QC with a totally different and new machinist vendor. It is a long process, and Rob is a perfectionist and builds a "HIGH" quality pv. He wants only the best to go out to his customers (future REOnauts). Patience, patience, patience and you will be rewarded and in vaping nirvana

Being a business owner my whole life I can tell you that small is good.

You reach a point where your expenses increase so fast that you have to sell 4X the product to make 2X the profit.

After building a business from just myself to double digit employees I would never do it again.
I might start another business some day but it would be just me (maybe my wife for free help).

All I can say to those who think its easy is the plate is right there step up and swing hard I wish you the best.As far as someone building a mod like mine lol.I have this thing called a patent if you want to pay me a % of your sales maybe we can arrange something. I hear it all the time how I should run my business its getting old.
