What is the method used to fill the carts at the plant? That's the way I want to do it!

I've tried dripping 18-20 drops at a 45º angle...
RESULT: cart lasts about an hour and tastes weak after just a few draws

I've tried a syringe
RESULT: harder to draw for 50% the vapor

I've tried Tayrn's method 15 drops & spinning & add 15 more...
RESULT: after an hour cart loses flavor, doesn't burn out, but no taste

I still will NOT leave for work without a FRESH out of the box cart.
They just Draw better & taste better.
Just forget about using a refilled cart on a non-pass thru, I end up with hurting teeth and lips after a few hours, and I have the XL manual with 13 second cutoff.

IS THERE A BETTER WAY?

At the factory they use a syringe and fill it with exactly 1.0ml. I do the same when filling blanks for testing flavors. They do it before the caps go on, but when filling blanks, I usually leave the cap on, and just be careful to put the needle in at an angle, so it slides against the wall of the cart.

But no matter how you fill or refill, there's always a learning curve involved. It will probably take some practice before you get it just right. WHen I started using cartomizers, it took me weeks before I could refill reliably. Keep at it and don't get discouraged.

zdaddyl, since I don't use a syringe (yet, one of these days I'm going to get one) I really can't give you an exact measurement. And it also depends on drop size, 5ml bottles vs 30ml bottles. With the 5ml bottles I've found that thirty drops is my sweet spot. In a clean and blown dry cartomizer I put in fifteen drops then spin for ten seconds, then a dozen more and respin and just wet the top with the last three drops. Occasionally I'll vape them right away but usually I just toss them in a bowl with my other filled cartos and use them when I'm ready for that flavor again.

Monkey Arms.. I'm having similar probs. as far as losing flavor. I also tend to go through a cart way fast. It's just hard for me to believe I'm taking 200 puffs in an hour .. :p (maybe I am) The only method I'm using though is Taryns. I also rinse out most the time and that helps some.

I'm thinking that maybe I need to let them sit and dry for awhile after I blow them out and maybe after I fill them letting them sit for awhile also. I'm getting at least 30 drops in as is.

Maybe like Taryn said I'm just not getting as much flavor because I've become saturated or whatever.

for whatever reason, i find topping off before the cart is dry works well (just by dropping at an angle), and (more often) syringe refilling (after a wash). i tend to leave the cap on and go at an angle, and this leaves me with carts that are as good as new or better (if it's a special blend of my own flavs) ;) ... however, i feel your pain, cause the taryn spin just doesn't work for me. i mean, it works mechanically well enough--i get plenty of juice in the cart, all looks well, but they just don't vape great. i'm sure it's some quirk of how i do it, but if i have a dry cart nothing but syringe refilling works great for me. i also let my carts dry completely after blowing-through. sometimes i vape right away and they're better-than-good but letting them sit def. improves them imo.

First off I really like reading posts like this. I learn a lot from them. I've tried all but the syringe method, I going to give that a shot down the road. Big thing for me seems to let the carts sit a nice long time. I have lots of carts so I let them sit a couple days. I sometimes get new carts as well as refills that I only suck on for an hour and I get a burnt taste. Well to be fair it is a bit hard to tell because I'm usually working on a couple carts at a time. I like a couple hits of a tobacco and then a menthol hit. Anyways if I get a cart that didn't seem to last long I immediately stop and put 5 - 10 drops in it and then add it to the end of the rotation

Guess this was pretty long winded just to say they seem to do better if the sit a couple days before use

I've been thinking about this today. To me as long as the refilled cart has decent vapor production, the draws not too hard I don't think I should be too concerned about how long a refilled cart last. Its pretty easy to carry around an extra cart or two and changing them out is just a couple twist of the wrists.
