Is there a chart for voltage, resistance, wattage?

This stuff is still perplexing to me. I'm wondering if there's a chart out there for what resistance to use with what voltage and wattage? I still have not purchased anything because usually I rush into stuff. So this time, I'm going to wait till my knowledge ramps up.

Another question. What wire goes with what wick and what mesh? I'm most likely going to be purchasing an AGA T +
I need to still read through that thread I suppose, but is there a one mesh / wire guideline? I'm assuming there's too many variables involved.

There are only two types of resistance wire used, Kanthal and Nichrome, these can be used with any kind of wicking material.

Which type of wire, mesh do you guys use? Or does that too, depend on the voltage By wicking material you mean mesh, not a rope type wick like on the vivi tanks right?

Luckily I have a high end volt meter already for when I get into this.

Stainless steel mesh I like between 300-500 grade and I prefer using 0.25 kanthal D though dependant on the genny I may use 0.2 Kanthal D

Usually I use the first one, but they are both good.
