Low Resistance/Low Voltage vs Higher Resistance/Higher Voltage??

I've got the chart showing the "sweet spots" (in watts) for coils with a certain resistance and the proper voltage. As a newbie, I guess my question is...If I have a VV battery, does the coil resistance matter? Obviously a lower voltage setting means longer battery life. But why would I buy a lower resistance coil vs a higher one? Assuming the same wattage (say 5.00), does the coil/voltage combo somehow affect the vape? 5W is 5W, right?
