I think that most of the 'good' reviews for Blu, V2 and Greensmoke are not real... they are fabricated to show up in Google searches and

the 'review' sites that I visited when I started did not accept any bad reviews.

Blu at best is a minimal starter unit... V2 has had shipping/supply issues for 3 years and won't tell you they are out of stock at time of order....

I have no doubt that there are people who have used them and been able to quit, I started with Blu and V2.

But they are not the best, and the reviews are merely well crafted ads

Hello, I have seen a lot of good things about V2 Cigs, Green Smoke and Blu. A lot of reviews put V2 Cigs at the very top. Is it pretty much a consensus out there that V2 Cigs is the best? Thanks.

Realize many of these "reviews" are sponsored indirectly by the Vendor. I prefer reviews by PBusardo, VaporChase, igetcha69 and Grimm Green- all highly respected and trusted members of ECF.
Value...sure they're okay devices but when you look at them from a value/ $$ standpoint they rank VERY LOW on the scale. Similar devices can be had for much cheaper. There is a reason they are not ECF listed/ verified Vendors and that's because, from a price point, they couldn't compete here.

Hi and Welcome Dan33!

Looks like you are going for a cigarette style battery. There are a lot of good reviews out on the interwebby for Greensmoke and V2, although I found several disparaging ones for Blu- seems their marketing is better than their product. All 3 you mentioned use what is called 808d threaded cartomizers and are easy to use because they have two pieces- the cig battery and the cartomizer.

If you are looking for straight nicotine replacement to get off cigarettes, these are great pieces to start. I myself went with the Vapor 4 Life Titan batteries (also 808d threaded) because I liked their style and there were so many different flavors of cartomizers, which is great for beginners like me.

However, I very quickly realized that if I wanted to do any tinkering, or start using atomizers (dripping) for a lot of different flavored eliquids, that 510 threaded batteries and accessories are more prevalent and easier to come by. For the size of the ecigs you're looking at most people would recommend Joyetech, but there are many options. Also, if you ever get into the bigger style of ecigs or mods, most of them are 510 threads. Though you may not think think this interests you now, as many people on this forum will attest to, it happens a lot.

Personaly, I went with the ego's and have found I really like the Kanger clero's for the top. I was a heavy, heavy smoker and wanted more of a mid size unit for that reason. I was afraid of it not looking like a cig but that is not a big of a problem as you think. The ego is the size of a meduim cigar. Good luck

Interesting point. I suspected that, too. They all show up at the top of Google's search results.

Which brand(s) do you like? Thanks.

all three brands are considered junk around here by most, the vast majority here use provari's ,vamo's,Z-max's,reo's and hybrids
as for atty's most people use kanger's,vivi nova's or a RBA.

i would say that 99% or better of the reviews when you google "best ecig" are fake ad pages.

I for one do not buy into the belief that sticks are junk, I smoked a V2 short manual and it was great, I also smoked both the large and small sticks from Smokeless Image and still use them today.

The rule of thumb is that everything has a place depending on what your needs and desires are. I have sticks, egos, big PV's and use them all in one situation or another and enjoy all of them!

Play guitar? Try hanging an ego twist out of your mouth while you play, not gonna happen, but a short cig auto battery you can. I like sticks when I drive as well....hands free..

The best sticks are the ones you put together yourself from discount vendors...if you want a one stop shop deal then I would go with smokeless Image.

What would be really helpful to know is what are your needs? Is this stuff for you or is it a gift?

Hi there & welcome.

I would spend some time on ECF before deciding on anything. Just like most starting out we tend to steer towards the ones that are cigarette size [cig-a likes]. There is so much information & helpful people on here to help you out & so much to explore it will boggle your mind.
I wound up lurking for 2 mos. before I got my 1st kit & chose the KGO from Hoosier ecigs. I'd give you a link but cant figure out how to do that yet. Maybe someone else can jump in & provide it.
There are so many variables as to your needs such as size, etc. Many who demand a cig-a-like will find options way better than what you are looking at. I was in the same boat & found so much help by simply exploring & asking. That saved me from making a big mistake when starting out.

Research is the key here.
Take a look at the many YouTube videos out there as metioned above. I got my kit based on PBusardo review. He also has a website where you can access his videos : tasteyourjuice.com

I am happy with my kit so far & so glad I did my homework. It's a great beginners set up that doesn't cost an arm & leg & was actually smaller than what I expected which was a nice surprise. Plus the folks at Hoosier e-cigs are very helpful & friendly. The kit contains everything for approx. $44.00 which is less than just buying batteries alone.
Explore genuine Joytech products as well. If size is the main factor I have seen many great reviews on the E-roll [I think]

Be sure to do some research & ask questions. That's what we're here for.
I would stay away from the ecigs you mentioned. You'll wind up wanting/needing something better very soon.
Good luck on your adventure.

Edit: Don't forget some ejuice.

Hi D33

It would be helpful if you told us what you are looking for. Is size a big concern for you or are you open to about anything?
Any info to help narrow down the vast possibillities that are out there would help.
I only ask beacuse of what you mention are "cig-a like" types of PV's. How did you find about the one you are considering?

I remember starting out exploring & found YouTube videos that turned out to be so biased & outdated they should be removed.
Any want/needs that are of concern to you will help us steer you in the right direction. We are all about helping you find what might work for you.
I have no experience with the products you mention but it just appears that you may have stumbled upon some reviews that aren't up to par. Just like I did.
I was in the exact same boat until I found ECF. Thats what help me decide what I was going to do.

We want to help you along this never ending path in to the vaping world.
Good luck & enjoy your stay.

Hey Kerry, I play as well and I've noticed the same thing. It's also hard to hand a Vamo out of you mouth while playing. Especially if you have some of those aluminum mouth pieces (which I hate).

Check out the Volt from Smokless image and the E roll if you really need a cig size. We usually recommend people starting out with the ego twist or vision spinner. These are two different brands that are basically the same thing. Here is a link to a great starter kit. Try not to get too overwhelmed by all the info. I would research this site for a week or so before you make your purchase. Anyone who is giving legit advice or reviews on e cigs can be found here on this forum. This is the go to site for e cig users. It has real people being honest about what works for them. We have 125,000 members here. E cigs are fast becoming the new safer way to get your nicotine with far less health risks. Don't be afraid to post questions and welcome to the forum.

From what I've gathered this is not so much about brands but is more about battery types. The 510 and kr810 (?) are the cigarette type batteries and the eGo is the larger, longer lasting battery. If you want a brand Volcano and Volt are good for a start but you could just search for 510 starter kit or eGo starter kit and get a feel for what is available.

People have varying tastes and likes...no one's answer is necessarily wrong...this could be the equivalent of starting a favorite oil thread in a motorcycle forum....lol
