Is there a "trend" to taste?

New ECF member and one month into e-cigs.
I bought a boatload of flavors from JuicyVapor.com.
Here is my question:
Taste is subjective. But have members compared notes and found that person #1 who likes Flavor A and person #2 who also likes Flavor A ... do they both tend to like Flavor B?
If so, it might be a big plus for "like-tasting" people to compare their favorite flavors and it might cut down on having to sample so many.
Just wondering ....

I do know that the sense of smell is also subjective: For example, a certain rose that smelled heavenly to me had "no smell" to my friend ... and a rose that she thought smelled heavenly had "no smell" to me. This was a surprise to me!

I've found that knowing the background of some people may lead you to like what they recommend. For example, a veteran on here loves premium cigars just like me. I have bought off of his suggestions and never been let down. Since I only smoked cigars and pipes, any cigarette tasting liquid tastes nasty to me. Some flavors are more universally appreciated, which I have as well (Boba's Bounty, BWB Applewood, Gorilla juice) which I bought off their recommendations. Pay it forward on here is a great place for you to try these flavors since many will send you samples because they have so much of the good stuff

I like atomic cherry bomb, AB negative, lemon basil mint sorbet, lemon blueberry muffin, and lemon lavendar sugar cookies. Some I didn't like were carrot cake, caramel corn, and hypnotic myst.

Sounds interesting ... I've only used one juice seller (JuicyVapor.com) but I'm going to go to FreedomSmokeUSA and try their flavors. Lots of people here seem to recommend them, so I need to give their juices a try. I'll try a couple of the ones I know I like from JVapor and then branch out.

I bought samplers (20 x 3mL) and ended up with a LOT of juice I don't like. Is there a place here where people send others their flavors ? Since everyone has different tastes, these might be somebody's favorites.

There's a thread called Pay it Forward where you can swap your flavors for the current flavors being offered. This way you can try new flavors for free. Also, this is a thread in pay it forward called Treasure Chest where you can just give it away for free without getting anything back.

Thanks ... I'll be doing that!

This is funny you posted this!!!!! I was JUST ABOUT to propose a tasting profile project!!!!!!!! By choosing for instance 10 or 20 flavors and inviting people to become part of the trial. The difficult thing would be choosing which flavors,if it would be from one company or several.. I think it would need to be a BIG project, but I assume we would come up with some sort of profile that might help people in juice buying..... It would seem easier by using one vendor as it might be possible to get them to put together a trial sample package, that everyone could buy.. However with so many people loving one vendor and others thinking..hmm whats all the hype etc.. It seems several would need to be used.. I thought to throw the idea out and see who could expand on it...
