I'm trying to bottom feed my first atty and was wondering if there is a trick to gettin the insulator out? It's pressed in there pretty good to say the least. I put a mini Phillips head in from the bottom but it didn't wanna budge. I'm being overly careful since it's my first try and I don't have another atty that I'm willing to sacrifice. Thanks in advance

Depends on what atty it is though. Some are threaded...

That gives me hope, thanks custom. I looked all night for something like that. I ended up watching some vid in all Spanish or Italian last night where the guy used a coping saw. He unhooked th blade, slid the atty on with the blade through the insulator, attached the blade then slid the atty back and forth to groove the insulator. If I can't get the insulator out that's exactly what I'm gonna do. Thanks all. If I get it to work I'll post pics. Off to perform surgery!

After hours of surgery, the patient came through fine. I'll get close ups posted asap(couldn't see the detail with my iPad). But it squonks and drains perfectly! Thanks to everybody that offered help. You folks are the ones that make ECF rock. Here's how she looks mounted up...image.jpg

To anyone else trying what I did...I got the bottom half of the two piece insulator out by screwing the perfect size screw into it, then pulled it out with pliers. For the top half I used the flat end of a bit and used a C-clamp as a press. Not the easiest way, but it worked for this poor redneck
