I just got an orginal voopoo and a voopoo mini. The problem is sometimes the buttons sticks and they fire the atomizer. I called the supplier and they emailed a shipping label but the thing is, they only do this sometimes and they want to test them for a refund. Also i dont drive due to a disability so id have to uber to the post office to risk them not refunding me and risk losing my gear. Is there any way to fix this on my own?

Thanks

If it's too hard, try ExLax, if it's too soft try ImodiumAD. :D Sorry I couldn't resist.

OK for real, I guess it will depend on what part of the button is the problem. Usually there are two parts to a button. The inner part is usually very tiny and is soldiered to the board of the device. Then there is an outer button that sticks through the housing that the user actually presses, which then in turn presses the inner button. IF the issue is the outer button, then you should be able to order something close enough to similar from Amazon or somewhere and relpace it yourself. IF the issue is the inner button you can still replace it but only if you have a soldiering iron and the ability to use it. The only way to know which one it is would be to disassemble the device and try pressing the inner button directly to see if the issue persists. If it does then the issue is the inner button. Otherwise the issue is the outer button. It MAY be possible that this particular mod has the large button directly soldiered to the board, if this is the case then you will have to be able to soldier to fix it. Hope this is at least somewhat helpful.

IF you decide to try it yourself and fail, you will be voiding any warranty you might have had... just a thought...
Youre right. I contacted the supplier and requested another shipping label so i can send both of them back. Heres hoping they do whats right.

Is your voo showing any other signs of ill health?

(Whee! I love potty humor! I’m so immature!)

Potty mouth! Potty mouth! :D:D:D:D:D

To the OP, I really wouldn't try a disassembly yourself. Take advantage of your postman doing the pickup for you during a regular delivery. The only reason I can see them making a fuss over to not do the work under warranty is if there were obvious signs you dripped juice all over the front of the mod which then got into the buttons and gunked them all up. Even then they might well just clean it and send it back to you.

This post is wrong on so many levels. I never would have bought a "poo" device to begin with. If I did buy a low end mod I would expect it to fail prematurely and I'd eat the loss. If I did need to return one I'd drop the package in a street letter box for pickup. And if I needed a ride I would not choose an amateur "uber" driver in his personal vehicle over a professional in a liveried taxi.

At least VooPoo is light years better than a SMOK.

With SMOK, you'd be lucky to get any kind of a response from customer support. And if you did, they'd just tell you to buy another one.

"We make cheap. You buy cheap. It break? You buy another." -- SMOK Customer Service and Warranty Department.

Which is why a Smok failure can never be considered premature. Anything past opening the package is considered a bonus. ;)

OK, not totally fair. I have 2 Smok mods that are a few years old now that still work just fine.

Oh, and the hit on Uber is pretty weird. Where I am all the drivers have the same license requirements as cab drivers.

I have a list of manufacturers where I will never buy their stuff. Ijoy (genuinely think it's junk) Smok (I don't sub0hm thank god so couldn't have even bought one by mistake although a few of their mods are sort of okay, according to some.)

Voopoo. And, it's not their products, it's their MARKETING tactics. I wouldn't even enter a contest. They're probably not the best vendor if they won't even GUARANTEE that they will fix their malfunctioning product but "need to take a look at it first." I mean they could have let you send a video that is a KNOWN REAONSABLE option.

I don't even hate their products but their marketing is so terrible for the image of vaping you could not PAY me to vape one of their things. They really.... Ugh.

Well, Voopoo and I hate each other for reasons I cannot and should not get into.

So go ahead and prove me WRONG Voopoo and SHAME on you for not believing a loyal customer by doing a video or something. I bet you don't warranty it either, I'm fairly certain.

There you go, I did my part, my guess is Voopoo may want to "prove me wrong."

Do that Voopoo PROVE ME WRONG I dare you.

Don’t know about Alberta, but taxi’s in Toronto are far from professional. Drivers are rude, poor driving skills and their cars are held together with scotch tape and chewed bubble gum from previous passengers. Uber gives me a rate before I even confirm a ride, unlike a taxi that charges based on time. I can get across the city, regardless of traffic (which is always a mess in T-Dot) for half the price in a clean, smooth driving Uber than I can with a taxi. Most of the time I receive a free upgrade to Uber Black or Select – nothing like taking a Mercedes C or E class to your favorite pub and a Tesla Model S on the way home!

I've had a Mercedes show up that way as well. Never a Tesla. That would be totally cool. I haven't kept a car in the city in a real long time. You could rent a studio apartment for what the garage fees are like in Manhattan. But if I were to ever need to get a new car I would be so tempted to at least consider a Tesla. Then settle on a beater that I could park on the street and not break out in tears when it's got the first ding within a week. But consider, sure.

Then again, if they get their act together and get the model 3 out at a reasonable clip it could be a different story.

Few BMW’s, Audi's couple of Mercedes – only had a Tesla once but a friend seems to get one all the time. The driver must live close to him. Also had a fully decked out F-150 - you could hold a block party in the back seat of one of those there is so much room. I’ve never used it, but a friend uses Uber Share all the time and gloats how he just took a $5 ride that would have other wise would cost him $30 in a cab. To me it just makes sense, especially in a large metropolis like NY or Toronto. And there is no disputing the fare – didn’t like the ride, Uber refunds with no questions asked. Try that with a typical cab driver.

But have to say you have never experienced a cab ride until you take one in Manhattan traveling down 5th Ave at 60+mph launching over steel plates on the road and weaving to miss the many obstacles NYC offers!

My mom has a tesla.

Uh huh. I'm glad she has it for the "driver assist" but let's face it , an expensive golf cart is still a golf cart.

Uber-law varies from town to town. You couldn't PAY me enough to ride one honestly, and my kid used to and he had stories.

I try not to pay for things like oh, rape, theft, assault. I am TELLINGy you Tucson doesn't check I KNEW a bunch of Uber drivers trying to get their lives together and ah, their records were not exactly "clean." One dude had been convicted of TWO murders, and while he claimed he was set up, that is probably what *I* would say if I had murdered people and then was released because who wants to be like, "O yeah I totally drugged my wife and burned the house down."

It really varies though. I wouldn't get on a Tucson bus either, although they did finally hire security guards after enough bus drivers were assaulted and stuff.

It's so weird in Douglas. Everyone is pleasant. No one has approached me yet, begging for money.

Now the Californians are invading it's only gonna get worse.

I find taxis skeezy enough and they are So Regulated compared to Uber. I mean.... I drove the drunk bus in college (ironic, but I never actually did it drunk) AND THAT is the kind of bus you want to be on, like, one time I got the BEST drunken massage from this dude who like, he was so hot, I just never dared to approach him. I so should have, his girlfriends were like so much less hot and smart than me but I was what, 19? I'm sorry hot 19 year old dudes, you really need to approach ME at that point.

Maybe that was the approach? IDK I couldn't see going all CRAZY like a porn star over the massage I mean I was DRIVING the bus.

Oh well, all points led me here I guess and I am Very Happy.

I must love the husband a lot either that or the extra half an Adderall I took last night turned me into a cleaning goddess, IDK. I'm allowed to take it for special occasions. I kind of feel like doing it all the time would be THE BOMB in terms of my functioning but man... You gotta come down sometimes.

Something to talk to my pdoc about maybe? The biggest issue is eating on that stuff. Appetite, none. But it is really clean in here.

I agree, in large cities it's a plus to have the service. Before Uber there were black car pickup services but they were expensive and usually needed a prior reservation. Now I don't think there's any business left for them. I've also found in all the large east coast cities they're all licensed just like a can. Same in Houston when I visited my daughter in college. And half the price of a cab. Given the drivers own the cars they're also better cared for and clean rather than ratty taxis. As to risks, it happens with regular cab drivers too. At least with Uber you can identify the driver immediately.

And NY driving is a special experience. Six inch spacing between cars while driving is considered generous and may result in someone cutting in ahead of you. Hitting those steel plates and going airborne used to make my daughter go "wheee" when she was little.

The best way to fix those mods is set them on a solid surface with the fire buttons facing up. Take a big hammer and hit each mod one time really hard. Then get out your credit card and order a couple more mods that are worth having. Then go back and clean up your work area. And if you have any Dead Rabbit products you can fix them the same way at the same time.
