Hi,

Just wanted to say first I love this forum- I've been quiet but reading fro a while. Great bunch of helpful people! :)

Now I'm hoping your expertise might be able to help me. I have a 51 Duo and recently tried refilling with vg liquid and found I have completely fell in love with the vg liquid! (the carts for the 51 are kinda... ehhhh, nothing to be too thrilled over) Though I still have issues with it looking like it almost burnt inside despite me trying to keep the carts moist. In retrospect and from my research, I wish I had started with the joye 510, but we already have 2 kits of the Duo. (one for my hubby and one for me) I'd say screw it, and just buy the 510 except funds are tight and we have one big benefit with these Duos- my hubby is buddies with the owner of the smoke shop we bought them from and whenever something goes wrong with the batteries, they just replace them for him with no questions asked. I was wondering if there were any parts interchangeable with the Duo from other brands? Such as carts or atomizers so I could just use this vg liquid I adore- or anything at all to make this a somewhat more enjoyable experience? Would appreciate any input!

The Smoke51 DUO is the E9 model. Other brand names are Vapure, Green Smoke, Red Dragon, Loong Totem, and D2 from LeCig*. The E9 model uses cartomizers, which unfortunately are not compatible with the better known Kr8 model sold by many suppliers here at ECF.

* The least expensive, I believe.

My suggestion: "Don't throw good money after bad." [I'm not saying the E9 is a bad model; just acknowledging your feelings about it.] You're going to have to buy replacement batteries eventually anyway. Why not switch to a model you would prefer. For example, you can get a Joye 510 (two complete ecigs with charger) for as little as $35. Compare that with what you're spending on cartomizers, which you say you don't enjoy.
