Is there anyone... like me?

Hey ECF.
Glad to be apart of this whole sha-bang.

Anyway, my question, or rather what I was wondering is... is there anyone like me?

I quit smoking two years ago. Unfortunately, though, the cravings never went away. After two years of continuously .....ing to my girlfriend about how badly I "want a cigarette" and romanticizing the notion of buying "just one more pack"... I caved. I decided, a no-nicotine e-cigarette would be a better choice than a real cigarette. I gotta say, I've really been enjoying it so far. The flavors are enjoyable and fun to experiment with and going outside with the thing produces roughly the same effect as I remember a cigarette having (relaxation, focus, ect.) even without the nicotine.

So is there anyone else who isn't directly trying to quit with an e-cig?
Anyone else like me?
Maybe someone who never even smoked, just likes the idea of vaping?

I've been intermittently cutting down cigarettes, used to smoke 3/4 pack a day, now I don't even buy packs and they are starting to taste bad to me anyway.
What helped me was using fruit flavored liquids, just so that you get used to a different taste when "smoking", now when I smoke a cigarette I can taste it hours long after I smoked it.

I started vaping out of sheer curiosity to see if it actually does help a heavy smoker like me to cut down on analogs, usually smoking a pack a day, I've cut down to a pack a week after a month of vaping! Hahahaha was kinda shocked how it just subconsciously replace most of my analogs up till now! Hoping it continues this way until I've completely stop!

I have a friend who don't even smoke, but he enjoys vaping, just like me, started out of sheer curiosity as he took a flavour with 0% nicotine!

One of my brothers. He just orders the disposable flings from White Cloud. They are suprisingly pretty good. They have a cig size mini and then regular size which are more like a sharpie marker in size.

He is a very occassional vaper, and this is perfect for him in 0 nic.

to ecf HarryStoned. So glad you are here and I am sure there are others just like you. I never thought I would quit and was not trying to. I was just trying to save a little money. The vape just tastes so much better. It has been over a year since I even wanted a cigarette. Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

Welcome to the forum! I started vaping out of curiosity. Since the first day I started vaping I haven't picked up an analog and have tapered my nicotine level from 18mg/mL to 1.5mg/mL. With my next step I will go to 0mg, but I have not intention of quitting the vape after the switch to no nicotine. I just love vaping too much.

The clouds and flavor are great, but I truly just love playing around with Ohm's Law, engineering perfect coils and changing the vapor. I rebuild wayyyyy too much though, like every other day lol.

Today was an anomaly though, I rebuilt five times! Ha ha, I've always been a nano-coils dragon style guy and was trying a new build today, micro-coils with threaded and pillowed wick. The first build today came out great but my OCD had me figure out how to make it look clean and uniform...

Uhm, what was this thread about again? Oh yeah, there are definitely others like you. :) It's like 4:00am... Dafuq am I still doing up?

My wife only smoked hookah and that was a pretty rare thing. She now vapes daily since I've been vaping and she seems to enjoy it a lot. The cool part is we introduced it to her grandmother and she's now a vapor as well. Maybe by somebody seeing you and asking questions you'll help somebody quit smoking as well.

My college age daughter began vaping recreationally (no nicotine flavors) about a year ago. She had never been a cigarette smoker, occassionally went to the hookah bars socially with her friends. Nearly all of her friends smoked cigarettes, and while hanging out together like teens and young adults do, she felt tempted to start smoking cigarettes too.

For her birthday she requested her own mod setup similar to what I use, but with no nicotine, just for flavors. Recalling that this was the age that I began smoking, I rationalized that if she was going to do one or the other, I preferred her to vape and not smoke. She's an adult and free to decide what she does does to her body after all.

Since she has been vaping (again, no nic flavors), her BF and a few of her friends have begun vaping to stop smoking.

When I started vaping I had been smoke-free for over three years. I quit smoking cold turkey. Even though I didn't want to smoke anymore, I wanted the old comforting rituals of smoking, without the smoke. Vaping was the perfect replacement. I get the nice feel of throat hit and exhale, and none of the crappy tar or carcinogens. I have now been smoke-free for over 4 years, and I never intend to give up vaping, I see no reason to, its enjoyable, and even if its not exactly "healthy" it isn't speeding up my death the way cigs did.

while I'm vaping originally to quit smoking...

I have seen/met talked with folks that had quit smoking for at least a year but were struggling (I did I quit for two years once, five years, four months, etc) and there were ones that just vape to vape, they had gotten in some Vapping Rabbit yummy juices at the Vape shop we cater, which ONLY come in 0 or 3mg, they drip them and a couple of them were never smokers, or smokers who'd quit and just liked the vaping, I can't say I blame them

I got a sample of 0mg hot chocolate juice a while back and it just sat until the wife, who's diabetic, made some sugar free brownies that sucked. So I filled a tank with the juice and had her try it. She doesn't inhale but let's the vapor sit in her mouth to kill her sugar cravings. Now she's wanting her own set up with multiple tanks and flavors.

Im also not trying to quit but I love the convenience of a vape I can smoke it indoors without having to worry and my partner hates smoke but seems to love the candy floss flavor I get with the vape, not to mention its working out a lot cheaper and I don't have to worry about having a lighter on me or trying to get it to work in the wind! I must admit I do love the odd cig
