Hi everyone, I just got a E-Cigarette last week but I seem to be having some problems with it, Thanko E-Cigarette is what I bought, the original cartridge that came with it didn't seem to last very long after I started to use it, but after using a new cartridge, it doesn't seem to produce as much vapor after the first puff on it.

Is there something wrong with E-Cig? How can I tell?
Thank you all...

If it has a foil seal in the cartridge, make sure it was pierced by the atomizer. Make sure the threads are clean. I would have to suggest reading the forum here for some better e-cigs.
If this is it: Thanko's USB-powered Health E-Cigarettes sound healthy
I have one that looks to be the same and it's only good for 'dipping' the atomizer bridge in juice and vaping with an empty mouth piece attached.

Mine is shown at the bottom part of my avatar picture, it's actually very good for dipping, but the battery charge only lasts for a very short time.

framitz probably hit your problem. You have a cig that is interchangeable with the M401. Get some 401 cartridges, and you'll get better results. In the meantime, use a paperclip to push the inner sleeve out of the cartridge, and remove that foil seal completely. There is also a clear plastic seal under the foil. Remove that too.

Thanks Jim, you helped me confirm it's a 401. I REALLY like it for dipping, it actually makes my son cough it puts out such a strong throat hit, and he smokes Marlboro, I'm hoping to convert him and his wife to e-cigs. I bought just the atty and battery for $15, and already had a charger that works.

Hi Framitz, yes indeed we have the same E-cig, what do you mean by "it's only good for 'dipping' the atomizer bridge in juice and vaping with an empty mouth piece attached." Apologies as I am really new to this...

Thanks
I use e-cig juice and put a few drops in the well of the copper thing in the picture (my 'dippy' cup), I have removed the inner cartridge from the brown mouthpiece. I dip the metal sponge that sticks out in to the juice and let it absorb as much as it will, then put the mouth piece on the atomizer and vape it that way.

It is much less expensive to use juice and refill cartridges or dip. Check around the forum for sources to purchase e-juice, you will find many vendors and many recommendations.

Folks with atomizers that have a recessed atomizer bridge (the part that sticks out in yours) 'drip' juice into those atomizers, so you will see the terms dripping and dipping. The big advantage of dipping is that it is highly unlikely that you would flood the atomizer with juice.

I hope this helpful, it's something I do without thinking about it.

Dipping, and dripping are preferred by some. I don't do either. Actually, I just fill the 401 carts, and use them normally. Hit and vapor are great, but the carts have to be filled more often.
Good point, I use it to dip because I only had one cart, and it is the only thing e-cig related I have ever thrown away ;). But now I know what carts to purchase and will probably order a few.

It was interesting to see someone say they vape with an empty cartridge - I find that for the best throat kick, that works best too - it happened to me by mistake, a replacement atomizer had a blank cartridge on it, and I didn't realize it - kept adding a drop or two and had a "ta-daa" moment - been doing it ever since.

I use the M501 USB and battery, works just as good on both - also works well with the 901

The URL link framitz has provided is what I have bought, at the moment I am have difficulty finding the juice and other brand e-cig. And I still have those extra cartridges that came with the e-cig. How well will those cartridges last me?

Is it alright to leave the battery connected to the atomizer if I am not using it? Also, will the cartridge juice dry up if I don't use it?

Many thanks

The cartridges are equivalent to about 3 to 5 cigs. This model seems to be OK to leave atomizer connected. Not sure about juice drying up, if not opened they should be OK for a long time.

It will help others to help you if you update your profile with your location.
