17670 3.7 1800mAh (the only one I have at the moment) Voltage readings at atty connector are good with suspect battery installed-4.1 Volts or so. Ohm reads 3.2 on SLB atty. Its really bizzare to me how I can push the button on the PV and get good volt readings (at the atty connector on PV) then put a known good atty on it and nothing.... then slide the suspect 3.7 out and put the two 3.0 V's in (same atty) and vape away?????.Can take same atty over to my 5V pass thru and works fine. I was thinking that the battery circuitry is hosed somehow... and that when you put any kind of a load on it it shuts down????? I'll post back when I get the new 17670. Crossin my fingers... It would be a real bummer to not be able to vape at 3.7V with low reistance atty (1.5 ohm), nice combo, for clouds of vapor and not worring about the batt for at least full day before recharging with very heavy vaping. Hoping that some one has heard of a battery getting good readings and then stops putting out current if a load of a few ohms gets put on it. Afraid something might be messed up with my PV but it doesn't make sense.

I went through that same thing and found even my batteries that didn't have enough charge read 4.1 volts. I charged them and they work fine. I think it has something to do with the protection circuit. Another thing I found on some of my batteries the protection circuit went out. I just took them off and used them unprotected as backup.

I haven't had them get to the point that there was no vapor, but certainly weak. I got so frustrated that fastened a battery holder, switch and an atty connector with an old atty to a block of wood with leads for a tester. What I found was that a new 16340 reading 4.1 volts will drop to 3.5 or so under load. An older 16340 reading 4.1 volts dropped to less than 3.0 under load. The sad part is that you could say a standard 510 battery has a longer lifespan than some of the 16340s I've gotten. That's not why I switched to a mod!
