Is this a symptom of a "bad" battery?

Just got a new roughstack v2 with two ultrafire 18350 batteries. Here's what happens. Charged up both batteries. Loads of vapor off 1st battery showing 4.07 volts at the battery pin. However, when I put the other battery in (showing 4.0 volts), nothing........ no vapor ....... no sizzling.... I tried about 15 different atomizers/cartomizers thinking it was some kind of connection problem. But everything worked fine on the 1st battery. I know power is reaching the atomizer because it is showing 4.0 volts at the battery pin with switch pressed.

I would assume that the internal protection circuit is interfering???

BTW........this is it's first charge for about 6 hours apiece on a ad-103. Thanks for any info.

Put the "bad" battery back on charger for a few hours. Afterwords, showed 4.25 volts. Popped it into my pv and still nothing fires. Can the pin show 4.25 volts and yet somehow the internal circuitry shuts down battery flow once draw is applied???

Hate to throw away a brand new batt showing correct voltage but won't fire any carto or atty.

The center pin in the connection probably got pushed down to far to make contact. Take a paperclip and pry the little pin up just a mm or so. You can YouTube search madvapes connection adjustment to see what I'm saying. It's the video with the .avi end in the title. Hope that helps :)

I thought it was a pin issue as well, but Battery #1 fires all atomizers and cartos. I can leave these in place while removing Battery #1 and replacing with Battery #2. Then nothing fires, no vapor, nothing........ I then unscrew the atty and check pin with multimeter. It shows a strong 4.25 v when switch is depressed.

It is indeed strange. It's like once battery senses draw it just shuts off current. ?????

This sounds similar to my situation. I've had a couple 18650s I've been running for about 6 months, both have been running fine until lately. I measure them at almost 4.2v off the charger, check voltage once they are in my bombshell and they're still about 4.2. But minimal vapor, I get better performance off an eGo battery right now.
