Is this all I would need to have a working stingray mod?

I'm looking into getting into sweet looking mod clones like stingray's and turtle ship's, for flavor, clouds, and overall coolness. But I'm having trouble understanding all of the pieces I need to make it all work? I've been looking at vape royalty . com and their mods seem decently priced..(although if there's a better site, PM me!). So I think all I need is:

The physical mod (Stingray, etc.)
batteries
charger
kayfun or Russian 91%
e-juice

Am I good to go? Are the Kayfun or Russian going to work out of the box, or do they require me to build them?

Thanks for the fast reply. How would a setup like a nemesis or stingray clone differ from buying an SVD and throwing a Kayfun or Russian on the SVD? I'm asking in terms of end-user experience, what is the nemesis or stingray going to be able to do that the SVD can't besides look different?

And thanks for the pointer on baditute, i'm checking them out now!

Hi! How long have you been using ecigs? I have been doing a lot of reading over the last few months about mechs, but I have yet to need to go there. What are you using now?

I am a non-smoker that likes to vape and hookah, I've had a simple ego style battery and a clearomizer, but I lost them in a move. I'm trying to see if I should just go ahead and get a mod or an SVD or a Provari or something instead of buying a bunch of e-cigs over time. I'm a fast learner, I think it would be fun to build my own coils, (but I would be doing that with a Kayfun whether it be on a SVD or a stingray, no?)

I think you would be better off to go with a regulated mod first. The svd is a good choice. Then you could work on building the kayfun coil with it for while. It has protection and will be able to measure the ohms of the coil and will shut down if the build is wrong. It isn't hard but you do need to be aware of ohms, amps etc. Mech mods have no protection so you must know enough to be safe.

Actually I like my vamo...all six of them... button placement much better than the svd. When you get ready the brass stingray is a beauty, just make sure you know how to be safe first.

Thanks for the tip, would you recommend the Vamo over the Smoktech Sid? Any others I should look into? And that brass is really nice ;)

I have the vamo/sid/svd/stingray nemesis/provari/zmax/spinner etc etc. If I was to do it starting out again think I would go with the vamo 5 first I like the screen layout and that it can be vv or vw. It has an ohm meter to check coils which is most important and can tell the remaining battery life. I have a problem with the single button devices. I have 3 sigelei zmax that seem to work with one button only when they want to not when I want them to.

the nemesis or stingray will let you short out the battery.
the svd will tell you 'low ohms' and refuse to fire on a short

1.8 oHm wire is about perfect for a Kayfun. They are not a low ohm monster. 1.8-2.4 ohm is about the ideal range. You will also need organic undyed cotton yarn or organic cotton balls for wicking.

Batteries are best purchased from RTD Vapor. The stingray can use 18650, 18500/18490, and 18350 batteries. The kick works best with high drain batteries, so you will want to chose IMR buttontops, either AW, Efest, Orbtronic, Panasonic, or Sony. Any battery with the word "fire" in it's name is used for flashlights, and is not a good choice for vaping.
