Hiya,
The Vamo is a great pv. I have one. You'll get it cheaper here though:
eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 (Only Body) [D-B4 APV] - $39.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Or buy it here in the USA:
https://vaporbank.com/shop/index.php?p=product&id=884

Lots of people are buying this pv and I'm finding it performs well. There's a big thread where Vamo owners are discussing it here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9173-any-vamo-etna-vv-vw-owners-here-yet.html

It has variable voltage and variable wattage, is accurate, and sturdy. Has a nice menu system too. You can use it in two different sizes also. You'll need IMR batteries, and AW IMR are the best. You can use 18650 or 18350 batteries.

That's a heck of a good price, since it includes 2 batteries, a charger and the APV. I don't know anything about that vendor, though.

That vendor is in China. I wouldn't use those batteries - not at all. The charger can be picked up for about $9 at Health Cabin:
TrustFire TR-001 Lithium ion Battery 2 Channel Charger(US/Euro) [TrustFire-2 TR-001] - $8.90 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Health Cabin are in China, and are a registered ECF forum supplier. They are giving some places very cheap DHL shipping right now - which means it takes about 3 days to arrive and is tracked every step of the way.

OK so the pv is good but the batteries are crap how much are good ones I'm in the RC hobby as well so lipos an nimh are nothing new to me just a different application. If a charger runs about 10 bucks I would be safe to assume the batteries are about the same? One other thing I wanna run a vivi Nova on it would it work well and look ok I'm just done with cartos the get dry if I'm hitting on the a bunch and taste gross even tried 2 holes and still have the issue from time to time.

You'll need IMR batteries. AW IMR are the best to use. It takes 18650 and 18350 batteries. Not sure who sells them at the moment - I can have a look. Yes, you can use vivi novas with this pv. I do. just make sure its a Vision vivi nova and not a knock off. People have all sorts of hassles with the knock offs.
If you buy the pv from Health Cabin they also sell Vision vivi novas - so you could pick them up there. Mad Vapes also sell Vision vivi novas.

Here's a pic of mine in the short configuration with a Vision vivi nova:

The Vamo is a very good choice. I am using mine alongside the more expensive ProVari, and it performs just as well (yes, I said it!). I use AW IMR 18650's in it.

The vivi nova however is never going on it. Have you thought about a carto tank? No dry hits. You can get a good price on one at IBTanked.com and it will outperform the vivi with less mess and fuss.

Good luck getting a set up that you enjoy!

What's wrong with Vivis on it?

There is nothing wrong with vivis on it. They work fine - I've used them a lot. There are a lot of people who quite happily use Vision vivi novas. There are also a few people who don't like them. The OP asked if they work with this pv - yes, they work very well. The airflow is good, and they fit nicely on top.
There are a few people who are making a point of trying to talk people out of using them at the moment because they like something else. That isn't necessary. I use them a lot as I said, and I haven't found any flavor muting, have had no leaks, and by cleaning and dry burning the heads they last weeks. The main thing is to get the genuine Vision vivi novas, and clean and dry burn the heads. They are popular for a good reason.

Back on topic of this thread, the Vamo is a very good pv and a lot of people are using it right now.
