I just went to buy some glycerine, I found "Pure CVS glycerine USP" here:
Buy CVS Pure Glycerin USP online at CVS.com

But since it didn't say vegetable glycerine and since it was only 95% pure I went and looked at whole foods and found this:
VitaminLife.com: Solutions Glycerine Vegetable by Now Foods

This is the exact same bottle, it says vegetable glycerine 100% pure and on the bottle also says that the glycerin in this bottle is food grade. Also good to note that I found it in the skincare isle, not in the baking isle. it does NOT say USP anywhere on the bottle.

Is the "now solutions" ok to use? I've read posts saying ONLY use USP grade glycerin.

As long as it says "USP' on it, I'm told it is what we need. I got mine at Walmart and it just says Glycerine on the bottle also, USP at the top. I've been using it a little and it's just fine

Right, but this glycerin says 100% vegetable glycerine and says considered food grade but does NOT say USP... which is why I'm concerned.

As far as I understand, all glycerin labeled 'USP' is 100% VG. It all comes from the same manufacturer. I wouldn't buy anything that isn't USP as there is no way of knowing what's in it.

Here's the sticky http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/52669-pg-vg-labeling-purity-please-read.html

Actually, I had already read that thread, though the thread is old and (some) of the information in it might be dated, for example:

CVS no longer sells bottles that say "pure VEGETABLE gycerin USP", they now say "pure glycerin USP".

But I get the jist of what you're suggesting, and that's if it dosen't say USP, its probably not a good thing to consume.

My question arose from the whole "considered food grade" and "100% pure vegetable glycerin" labeling on the package. I'll probably end up returning this though.

The bad thing is that there are no places around me that sell glycerin product that states BOTH vegetable AND usp grade... :/
